Would highly recommend... - Would highly recommend this tour. Osmaro was our guide and was so informative. Pick up was punctual and stops were made when asked. The hike itself was not too hard if you are physically fit but could be more difficult for those who are not used to hiking. There is an initial steep incline with terrain changing from forestry to unshaded rocky areas. The views throughout are amazing. Once reaching the crater, it is absolutely worth the hike. The lake is also absolutely beautiful with an opportunity to swim in it.

An amazing experience - This hike was such an awesome experience! It is a moderate level hike with amazing views throughout it and and the end of it. Make sure to take good shoes (hiking boots made it so much easier) and sunscreen as the last part of the hike has no tree coverage. Afterwards we went into town had amazing sea food and an impromptu boat ride in lake Coatepeque. To top off this incredible experience, our guide Marvin was amazing. He is so patient and friendly as well as very knowledgeable of everything around. Would definitely recommend taking this hike with him if possible. Don’t forget to take cash to buy paletas at the top of the volcano.

Highly recommended to live an free experience in a volcano - It was a fantastic experience. Climbing the volcano requires a bit of physical fitness, although we had a lot of patience from our guide, Osmaro, who led the entire tour with experience and professionalism. Highly recommended.

A Must-Do Experience in El Salvador - We hiked the Santa Ana Volcano and had an amazing experience. Osmaro picked us up on time and even stopped so we could get breakfast and coffee before starting the hike. He was very knowledgeable and shared so much history and fun facts about both the volcano and El Salvador. This is an absolute must if you’re in El Salvador, and hopefully you’ll get Osmaro—the best tour guide in town!

Family vacation in El Salvador - Let me start off by saying that Osmaro Zelaya, (our tour guide) is the absolute BEST in El Salvador. I don’t say that lightly. If you guys want an amazing experience, this is your guy! Nothing short of an amazing experience with this man, every time! Not only is he a really down to earth individual, he is insanely intelligent and really knowledgeable with the native heritage. I don’t even know where to begin! This is my second time booking this tour with him and although challenging, it is very rewarding at the end. I reached out to him directly this time around because of how well he took care of us on the first trip. He’s a talker, in the best way possible. Ask him a question and he will do his best to have an answer about the facts that he knows from being a native himself. If he’s not talking, it’s because you aren’t asking enough questions lol. He does well in telling you what you need in order to prepare for the trip. There are a few spots he will recommend to stop at on your way to your destinations. I suggest you take his advice and stop as you won’t regret it. The views throughout the ride are crazzzyyy beautiful as well! The volcano is both difficult and also an absolutely amazing experience! The hike up is difficult for sure, but well worth it. The views on the hike up are spectacular and nothing short of that. The lake is also amazing as you can have some food or just ride the jet skis, which I highly recommend. It is an all day tour which you have to take in consideration your drive time and pick-up/drop-off locations will play a huge factor. I would recommend asking for Osmaro, if you want the best experience for ANY of these tours. 10/10, for sure.

Great Views - Thank nyestro guide Herve! For teaching, kindness and repetition. He has a lot of knowledge of history and the volcano. At all times we felt deguros and ptotected with all the precautions he suggested, always kept the group together. We learned a lot and most importantly we enjoyed the tour with new friends rn the tour, at the end of the tour we went to lunch very delicious food and the view of the lake. Thank you so much!

Worth the View - Our tour guide was Herbert Burgos. He was beyond amazing. There was an issues where the pick up and drop would be. He was able to help us and picked us up where we were staying. He was very informative with the history of the volcano and lake. He did not rush us at all! He would read the group and stop so we can take a break! The location he took us for lunch was amazing! If you get him as your tour guide! Expect the BEST experience!

Awesome place - It was Saturday, November 29. The views were spectacular and the day was magnificent. We were able to enjoy a beautiful ascent of the volcano and a paradise top where we took a few photos to be able to boast of such beauty. The best, without a doubt, HERBERT Burgos, our guide. It was lovely and superprofessional. It is nice to go to a place and learn about places, people, customs... You can tell he enjoys what he does and loves his job. It was a pleasure to match him and he helped us a lot in our adventure to the volcano and provided us with a lot of information about El Salvador. Surely, Herbert, you're welcome if you're traveling in Spain. A big greeting, Sarah and Alberto

Amazing hike up Santa Ana Volcano! - We had an amazing experience on this trip to Santa Ana Volcano! It took about 1.5 hours to drive to the starting point of the hike, about 2 hours to hike up hill to the top of the volcano and the overlook into the lake in the middle, and then 1.5 hours to hike back down. On the drive there, we stopped for snacks/breakfast, and on the way back, we stopped at a restaurant for lunch with a great overlook of Lake Coatepeque (just to view the lake, not to swim). There were lots of food options on the menu to choose from. The hike was really cool, with awesome views along the way and it was not too strenuous since we took breaks along the way. Diego, our guide, was also amazing in answering questions, sharing history, taking photos, and making the trip such a great experience!

Santa Ana overturned - The experience was wonderful, the spectacular day of climbing the Volcano but we could not reach the crater due to a little wind. Our guide Herber Burgos was the best.
