Like a meditation - I loved the calligraphy workshop — it was peaceful, interesting, and very different from typical tourist activities. The teacher shared stories and explained the meaning behind the symbols, which made the experience feel special and meaningful. A great place to slow down and enjoy the culture.

Nice and relaxing cultural activity - My friend and I joined a Chinese paper-cutting workshop at the cultural center and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere there is very pleasant and calming, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy the activity. There were teachers at the event walking around and helping everyone. They explained how to do the paper cutting, gave useful tips, and also shared some interesting stories about the history and traditions of Chinese paper cutting 剪纸. It left a very good impression overall. It was a nice way to step away from everyday life for a while, do something creative, and immerse myself a bit in Chinese culture. I'm really glad I went.

Creating Beautiful Memories at a Chinese Paper Cutting Workshop - I joined the Chinese Paper Cutting Workshop in Shanghai with a friend, and it became one of our favorite memories from the trip. The studio was cozy and welcoming, and our instructor explained the history and symbolism behind paper cutting in a very clear and engaging way. Even though neither of us is very good at art, the step-by-step guidance made it easy to follow, and we were both surprised by how beautiful our final pieces turned out. We especially enjoyed that the teacher shared the meaning of different patterns, like flowers and animals, so it felt not only creative but also cultural and educational. The atmosphere was relaxed, we could ask questions at any time, and the instructor was very patient and encouraging. It was a great activity to do with a friend — we laughed a lot, took photos of the process, and left with our own handmade souvenirs. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking for an authentic cultural experience in Shanghai, whether you are traveling with friends, as a couple, or even on your own.
