Hans-Deng Organic Cooking Class Yangshuo China - I also visited my friend Hans this year. This time not to cook, but to enjoy the food prepared by other tourists. Just like last year, Hans can explain well and with humor how to prepare authentic Chinese food tasty, simple and fast. Recently you can also follow Hans-Deng Organic Cooking Class via Instagram and Facebook.

Heartwarming and Authentic - Han’s cooking class was amazing — fun, relaxed, and genuinely personal. We toured the market together, cooked Yangshuo beer fish, tofu, and a delicious smashed cucumber dish. What really made it special was Han himself — warm, funny, and generous. I even ended up coming back later for dinner, a swim in the Li River, and a bamboo painting lesson from his brother. Just a really heartwarming experience all around. Highly recommend!

Authentic local cooking and culture exchange - Highly recommended - Amazing local and authentic cooking class. But really it's more than that: shopping on a local market with a real local, that knows the vendors. Preparing the food while exchanging cross cultural experiences and enjoying a great local dish! Hans is a great, open and understanding guy! Highly recommend doing this!

Very local cooking class and useful - A beautiful culinary experience is like a symphony of flavors and creativity. Stepping into the kitchen, I feel inspired by fresh ingredients. The sizzle of pans, the aroma of spices, and the joy of crafting dishes from scratch are truly enchanting. It's art on a plate.

Once in a lifetime experience! - Hans was punctual, arriving exactly on time, and we began with a journey through a local Yangshuo market. We had a small bite to eat, then picked up some "happy water" and ingredients for the class. Throughout the experience, Hans shared fascinating insights into Chinese culture - little tidbits of knowledge you can only learn from a true local! Hans is a very funny man and kept me laughing constantly. He's more than just a chef, he's an entertainer! The food was delicious, and I can't wait to try making some of it when I return home. We made beer fish, tofu, and fighting cucumber! We were joined for dinner by Hans' daughter, brother, and a friend. I got to experience what it's like to eat like a local in China - sharing stories and learning about each other's lives. I'm so glad I chose this experience on my first day in Yangshuo, as Hans and his brother gave me great tips on how to make the most of my trip. But truly, words can't fully capture how much this experience meant to me. I've made memories that will last a lifetime - and some great new friends! If you come to Yanashuo. this is an absolute must!

Authentic, fun, and absolutely delicious! - I had an amazing time during this cooking workshop with Hans in Yangshuo! The day started with a local breakfast and a trip to the market, where we picked out fresh vegetables and a live catfish for the famous local dish: beer fish. We even stopped to buy some very strong local rice wine — which Hans lovingly called "happy water"! The cooking took place at Hans’s home, where he guided me step by step through the recipes. We made beer fish, tofu, and a refreshing cucumber dish. His brother and nephew joined us for the meal, and it felt more like a warm family lunch than a cooking class. The food was incredibly tasty, and the whole experience gave a real insight into local life and flavors. If you're in Yangshuo and love food, don’t miss this workshop. It’s not just cooking — it’s a memory.
