Perfect mix of fun yet laid back tour - Great tour, very easy going. Antonio ajusts the tour perfectly to suit you with no rush or expectations. You will stop off at a number of well known and lesser known view points. Make sure that you bring a layers with you as is customary in Madeira due to the variety in weather that you experience. There are a couple of attractions along the route that you will need to pay to access but you can always decline if you don't wish to visit them. Antonio kindly booked us into a nice restaurant for us to visit for lunch, were a little unsure at first but the food choices and service was excellent.

Fantastic day ! - The experience began with prompt and great communication from Antonio . Pick up was on time from our hotel and we were made to feel welcome straight away .
I can’t put into words as well as some of the other reviews but Antonio was friendly , funny and very knowledgable. We felt very safe and looked after in his hands .
We saw so much of the west side of island and felt we benefited from a smaller more personal tour . Antonio’s enthusiasm and love for his island came across throughout the day . The weather didn’t go to plan due to the time of year / storm wind coming across so we didn’t get to swim at Porto Moniz but this did not in anyway distract from the whole trip - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would even take the same tour again ! Thank you for a fabulous day and for your warm welcome to Madeira as first time visitors . Great value for money and as a way to experience some of the island .

Our Private West Tour with Antonio was incredible – thrilling, beautiful, and educational! It blew past our expectations. - Antonio arrived right on time and asked if we had any must-see spots. We told him to just take us where he thought we’d love most – and he delivered! His Land Rover 4x4 took us to hidden spots most tours never reach. Some off-road sections were pure adrenaline, surrounded by breathtaking views and areas we’d never have found on our own.
Antonio’s passion for Madeira shines. He’d pull over to show us native plants, share island history, and even let us stand up in the 4x4 for a one-of-a-kind perspective. His farming roots make his knowledge authentic and fun to hear.
He’s funny, personable, and clearly proud of what he does. We loved it so much we booked him for another tour before the day was over. We ended the tour with a taste of Madeira wine.
Highly recommend – book with Antonio!

Unforgettable Day in Madeira with Antonio - We had an amazing day touring the west side of Madeira with Antonio as our guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of the island – from its trees and wine to its history and culture. Antonio knew every road by heart, took us off the beaten path, and brought us to breathtaking viewpoints we would have never found on our own. His passion for Madeira truly shines through, and he made the entire experience both fun and memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and highly recommend him to anyone visiting the island!

Antonio - Best Guide! - We had the best experience exploring Madeira with Antonio as our guide! From the very beginning, he was warm, fun, and incredibly knowledgeable about the island’s history, culture, and hidden gems. He took the time to listen to what we had already seen and tailored the day perfectly so we could discover new places without repeating stops.
What stood out most was his patience and genuine care in making sure we had the experience we wanted. When we mentioned we were hoping for a truly local meal, he brought us to a fantastic restaurant off the tourist trail—it was one of the highlights of our trip!
If you’re visiting Madeira and want a guide who feels more like a friend showing you around, Antonio is absolutely the one to book. Highly recommended!

Amazing !!!! not to be missed. - We have just returned from spending four days on the beautiful island of Maderia which would not have been complete had we not taken this tour with Antonio. Antonio showed us many beautiful spots on the coastline and inland the scenery was spectacular, his history and information about the island was remarkable with a few funny stories added (still laughing). So lovely to see someone who is so passionate about his island which shows in the way he presents his tours. Thank you Antonio.

Absolutely amazing! - We booked a private tour. Antonio our tour guide and driver was absolutely fantastic.
We were with our son, his partner and our 14 month old grandson.
We were shown such kindness, we were so very happy. He was so very good with the baby too.
The places we visited were stunning. Seixal beach and Fanal Forest outstanding.
The restaurant where he got us a table for lunch was delicious and affordable which was in Porto Moniz.
So worth the money.
We also had the East tour with him too. Madeira is so very beautiful. We will be back, as it has all our hearts. Thank you! X

Fantastic West Tour of Madeira - We had a fantastic tour of the West of Maderia. Antonio picked us up promptly from the hotel in the morning and took looked at the locations we were going too and made a plan. With 2 younger children, 14 and 11, he made them feel welcome and talked to them and we set off. He took us to all the stops we wanted to go too and more so we really got to see the area. We finished with some wine (and poncha) tasting which was brilliant.
We brought a bottle of wine and accidently left it in the back of the jeep. We message quickly and he brought it back the next day...with some homemade biscuits which went down an absolute treat with the kids too and was extremely kind.
A brilliant day out and would highly recommend 101 and Antonio!

Fantastic day with Antonio - We were lucky enough to be recommended Antonio via Beyond Madeira for a full days tour of the West Coast. Antonio not only fully catered for our young children with car safety seats, he actively engaged with the kids and even stayed with our 2 year old whilst she slept in the car which allowed us to carry on seeing the sights. The tour was perfectly planned and avoided crowds and we managed to fit so many amazing sights in. Thoroughly recommend. One of the highlights of our holiday.
