Gorge-ous Day On the Rock - I was visiting England and looking to get up to some outdoor mischief when I stumbled upon Up & Under Adventures. The Avon Gorge Rock Climbing Experience ticked all my boxes and gave me the chance to get back in the harness for the first time in ages. Rob was great, having set several routes well suited to my level and perfectly tailoring my experience. He was knowledgeable, fun and also safety minded. 10/10, highly recommend climbing with Rob and UUA. The next time I'm in town I'll be giving them a call!

Fantastic afternoon! - What can I say...what an absolutely brilliant experience! I have wanted to try rock climbing for a while and my husband surprised me with an experience voucher. I had the absolute best time. Rob is amazing. He is very knowledgable, calm and I felt completely safe in his hands! I cannot recommend Rob enough, if you haven't given this a go...do it!

Excellent experience - My partner and I (in our early sixties) fancied trying some rock climbing. Everything was well organised & professional and we felt very safe. The session was led by James who did a great job. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

. - An absolute amazing experience! Totally recommended. I received it as a gift, it was my first experience of rock climbing. Rob was a fantastic instructor, very safe and clear. They can provide you all the materias if you don't have it. The only thing I would say I wasn't feeling very comfortable climbing when I was getting belayed by someone that learnt how to belay that day but Rob was holding the end of the rope. Overall a nice experience!

Feeling proud - This was a birthday present (I'm 72), from my son, who loves to challenge me. I'd no experience whatsoever of rock climbing, so was a little anxious as I'm not great with heights. I needn't have worried. I had a great time and felt such a sense of achievement. Rob is a great instructor, extremely knowledgeable and very reassuring. At times when I doubted myself, the encouragement shouted from the bottom of the rock face helped me and my confidence to reach the top. This is a sport of teamwork and trust and Rob was an inspiration for both. Unfortunately, the weather prevented us from abseiling down, which I was looking forward to - perhaps another experience day! I would highly recommend both Rob and the experience.

Informative, exhilarating and relaxed. A fun day I'd recommend to anyone. - Had a great day getting to grips with trad climbing with Rob. He's a great teacher and keeps things relaxed and fun while being very patient. As someone who has done some indoor bouldering before I found this a great way to get a feel for outdoor rock climbing in a safe environment.

Climbing day - What a fantastic experience. Was for my sons 15th Birthday, he was the only one on the outing so had a one to one, he was encouraged superbly to keep trying when things got tricky and giving up was not on the cards. He loved it. Thank you.

Great activity for young people - Booked for my teenager son, who really enjoyed the experience. Rob gave him great tips and feedback about his climbs. Great way to get your kids active in the summer holidays!
