Just me and my wife for this tour, so it was a very dedicated tour through Bologna and it's food vendors with a great guide who could also guide us on cultural and historical things to see during our stay
Bologna is famous for its food, and this is a perfect way to see and eatthe best of it. i’d been in town for a few days and it wasstill very worth it. The guides were excellent, very genuine. 100% recommend it. Try the horse!!
Great stops, wounderful and passionated guide. Love the concept!
Awesome way to spend the morning. Do it early in your trip so you can spend the rest of time time eating through the excellent recommendations!
Very informative and the food was great. This was a perfect way to see a bit of Bologna in one day! Thank you so much!
We were taken to places we would never have found on our own. Sara our guide was very friendly and informative. She was slightly late replying local transport problems but the office texted us to let us know she was on her way. Provision of post walk advice such as restaurant recommendations were an added bonus
Would highly recommend this tour, good balance between general and food history of Bologna. Adapted to suit our food tastes, lots of useful tips for our tour of Emilia Romagna.
The tour was fab and Sara was amazing!!! A really great day and one I would 100% recommend.
We loved our food store - it was amazing! A great way to experience Bologna!!
Fabulous food tour! Our guide Sarah was knowledgeable, friendly, and took us to some amazing food experiences. Would highly recommend for anyone who appreciates great food!
Andrea provided a FANTASTIC tour for my wife and I. He made it personal, informative, and fun. I would highly recommend Taste Bologna to anyone interested in the city, the food, or the culture of Bologna.
Having a intimate small group of 8 made it possible of spending time at each location and being able to ask questions. The tour covered the vast range of food and drinks.
The tour was great! Ricardo did an excellent job! He was very friendly and he told us a lot about the history and the food of Bologna. He was able to answer all our questions. The tastings were very special and we enjoyed them all. Thank you for this great experience!!
Andrea was a great tour guide. His passion for his work and the food of Bologna was a pleasure to experience. We will definitely book another tour when we return to Bologna.

The tour was well-executed, with a warm, friendly feel. It is a great way to get to know Bologna and all it has to offer!
Knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. An off the beaten track tour of Bologna that would otherwise not be possible without local expertise. Good to share the experience in a small group.
At very short notice we were accommodated on this food tour. Elena, our host was most informative, approachable and easy going and clearly knew Bologna and its typical cuisine well. We were in a group of just 3 and enjoyed the variety packed in to the four hour programme. We would not have discovered the places visited and came away with a real understanding of the Bologna food scene. Thouroughly recommeneded to those seeking a more in depth Bologna experience. well done Taste Bologna!
It was an overwhelming tour. We were taken to very special places which we would not have heard about otherwise. Sara (our guide) spoke a very good English (not a trivial thing in Italy!). She is pleasant and intelligent and attentive to the group. In my opinion, the price (Euro 85/person) is too high.
Tour guide, Sara, was knowledgeable and accommodating to our 1 year old son. We visited interesting spots and ate delicious food. Size of the tour group was perfect and the overall feeling of the tour was relaxed and comfortable. We will recommended this tour and definitely take another tour with Taste Bologna.
Our guide Sara was great. We really enjoyed the indoor picnic. It's a lovely tour for foodies.
I really enjoyed hearing about the food and culture of the city of Bologna. We could tell just how passionate you are about your food tour and the food of Bologna and this made the tour so much better for us because we know how much you wanted to provide an authentic experience. We just arrived back home from our trip and are still talking about how this was the favorite part of our trip!!! My husband and I loved that we were able to visit places to try food that was off the beaten path so that we could get a better idea of what the locals eat in the city. We especially enjoyed tasting the ragu straight from the pot. I also enjoyed the walk to the gelato shop because it took me through a part of the city that I would not have walked too on my own. Thanks for this tour! We definitely will be back to do another one of your tours/classes.
Our guide made it a very enjoyable and learning experience
Very informative communication with host prior to tour. On the day the guide, Sara, was wonderful. Extremely fluent in English, highly knowledgeable and informative about issues both culinary and more general. We have undertaken many tours in the last few years in numerous European cities and Istanbul. This was without doubt the best so far.
Fantastic tour with some wonderful insights to both Bolognese cuisine and Bologna itself. Sara was very friendly and knowledgeable and led the small group very well.

First, Sara was wonderful, knowledgable and fun to be with. As retired owner/operators of restaurants for 21 years we simply understand how the "hospitality industry" is supposed to work and Sara as your representative totally completes the package. We're sure that all others in our group felt exactly the same was and as, before the tour, we didn't know each other....at the end of the tour the 7 of us met again later and it was obvious from the conversation(s) that we all felt exactly the same. Well done and thank you. Cam & Erma Doherty - Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico
It was an amazing experience (apart from the rain!) to go around Bologna's city centre with lovely Sara, who told us about the food of Bologna but also about Bologna itself. Would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who loves food. We did it on the second day of our stay in Bologna because we couldn't get a place on our first day, but if you can do it on your first day there that's what I recommend. I love food, cooking and eating it, love experimenting, trying new recipes and creating my own, so was slightly concerned that maybe the tour would not be as interesting as going around Bologna on our own to the different places recommended by bloggers... All I can say is I was wrong to be concerned! It was brilliant, thank you so much Sara and Taste Bologna!
Had a great time and Caterina was a very good guide
The guide was excellent - both in style and knowledge. The tour covered food and city attractions which was a good combination. The coffee, market, pasta demo and ice cream stops were excellent. The lunch stop was a bit disapponting though, it was unusual but not really very nice and lunch felt a bit sparse. Cost of 80 euros per person seemed high, perhaps a better nicer lunch location and content would make the price more reasonable. Overall very enjoyable but expensive
Guide, Sara F, was charming, knowledgeable and welcoming. The tour provided a taste of history and culture. Enjoyed meeting the artisans in their shops and sharing the foods of Bologna in an unique setting.
We had a great time. Sara was very knowledgeable and passionate about the city and the food. It gave us a great insight to the city for the short time we were there. Kira and I had a great time. Thanks
Sara did a great tour very interesting i would expect more unique tastings and more comfortable lunch
What better way to immerse yourself in a city and its culture by learning about it's food. Our friendly guide Sara was simply excellent, walking us through the rich history of Bologna and introducing us to the flavours that the city is famous for. There is so much to see so being able to book such a small group (4 of us) made the tour much more personal and enjoyable. Sara's amazing historical knowledge transported us through the ages. We felt very comfortable walking through the exciting and vibrant alleyways and marketplaces, full of the produce of Emilia Romagna. We stopped for an expresso at an award winning Barista that was simply sublime. We tasted olive oils and balsamic vinegar in the herb market, followed by a fantastic lesson in making Tortellini with the lovely ladies at Le Sfogline (as seen on Rick Steins long weekend series) just brilliant fun. We then had a long lazy lunch listening to Sara and sampling the famous mortadella, proscutto, parmigiano and cheeses with fresh breads and local wines. It was so relaxing and lovely. An afternoon stroll through Bologna with Sara to the final stop for the best Gelato you will ever taste capped off this wonderful tour. If you have never been to Bologna and want the 'real deal' Taste Bologna's classic tour is simply a must. I believe it is excellent value for money and worth every penny.
It was a very interesting tour, great knowledge of the food of the region and also the history of the city. Sara was also extremely pleasant and was very happy to address all of our questions. Helen and Pat McCarthy (Ireland)
Sarah was a wonderful tour guide as she gave the history of Bologna along with the food which was incredibke.
The Taste Bologna tour was an excellent way to explore the culinary and historical aspects of Bologna. Our guide (Sara Flammini) uncovered the hidden gems of Bologna's foodie scene, from artisan coffees to handmade pasta (we even got to make a tortellini!) to local meats (mortadella) and cheeses (parmigiana) and topped off with the best gelato I've ever tasted! Add a pinch of history and a handful of tips from a true Bolognese local, the finished product is a Taste Bologna tour to remember!
The trip was very good guidet by Sara. We had e very interesting tour around the food in Bologna.
