100% awesome and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun experience - My husband and I had an amazing experience taking Herbert’s class. Herbert is an expert teacher and would 100% recommend taking his class for anyone who’s interested in learning more about metals and that wants to experience creating your own metal made creation to take home with you. Thank you Herbert for teaching this class and allowing us to experience hands on creating with metals.

A fun and interesting activity - We had a large group of 8 ranging in age from 9yrs to 58yrs.
Everyone enjoyed learning the process of melting metals and creating a coin and the metal ingot.
We recommend this activity if you are ever in the area. A fun and educational experience.

Smelting a Good Time - We were in town looking for activities off the beaten path in Clarksville, and found this experience. Bert was an amazing teacher. He walked us through every step of the aluminum casting process, turning a daunting task into a fun activity. Neither of us had any metalworking experience, but even a retired lady could form some good results!

Educational and interesting experience for the family - I found the activity online when trying to find a unique experience. From start to finish it was such an interesting and educational experience. I am not in good health however the instructor ensured I was comfortable and was very accommodating so it made it a very pleasant experience. This is something I would recommend. My son is 13 and he enjoyed it. This is something that should be on everyone’s bucket list!

Simply AMAZING!!!! - 1st, this class is no joke, it’s real and raw and you put the sweat into the product you take home. I last minute reserved the 5pm for my son and myself, I am from out of town just spending a 4day with my boy, this class is AMAZING, it’s knowledgeable, it’s fun, it’s real, it’s hands on all the way, this is a man’s man’s kind of thing (cool for women into it as well) but this is old/new school seriously cool, you learn about metals, techniques, pouring, impurities and ever important safety, this is the REAL deal, what an awesome instructor and a class, just zero negative things can be said, if your looking for something unique, fun, amazing, take a couple of hours and reserve this, you or whomever you gift this to WONT be disapointed, just the best 2hrs I’ve spent in a long long while, and bonus you get to walk away with an ingot of your own melting and cool stuff like a poured coin or symbol……seriously, this is a great bday, Father’s Day gift, this gentleman is the real deal and super relaxed to work with and learn from………don’t wait, don’t hesitate, don’t think, just reserve your appt………so fun and cool

Great experience and cool souvenirs! - My daughter and I really enjoyed this activity. We started with a safety briefing and then got the furnace lit. While it was heating up Bert gave us a brief history of aluminum and showed us examples of the various metals he works with. Back to the now-heated furnace and we started feeding in aluminum cans and other recyclable aluminum scrap. It was really interesting to watch all that scrap metal turn into liquid aluminum. We then skimmed the dross and poured our ingots and coins. Note my use of the word “we.” This isn’t one of those experiences where you watch the artisan do 95% of the work but you get to touch one thing so you can say “I made that.” We literally did every step ourselves from lighting the furnace to feeding it to skimming the dross and pouring the liquid metal into the molds. Bert provided detailed instruction at each step along the way so we could do it safely and successfully. This is a well-organized and very fun hands-on experience. I highly recommend it.
