Pre-board hiccups but great time! - We did the evening starlight ride 3/21/26. Requiring your ticket printed was a complete PAIN & ridiculous when someone is traveling! The pre-boarding wait in the heat & lack of enough shade seating horrific. Everything else completely luxury! If you make it through the beginning pergetory it is worth the expense. Every staff member beyond fabulous! The food, boxed meal & charcuterie were surprisingly delicious, and cocktail aboard wonderful. Definitely recommend, yet come prepared for the beginning terror.

A wonderful evening and starry night - My family and I had a wonderful experience, it was an amazing ride and we had a great guide (Andy) and a great bartender (Josh). We learned so much and saw so many beautiful sights. This is definitely a must ride !!

One of the Best Landscape Experiences!!! - Could not recommend this enough. It was about a 2 Hour drive from Phoenix, but worth it. The depot is so done-up - I loved it. There's a gift ship, an outside bar, and quick service for food that you can either eat there or take on the train. There was a mostly full crowd and you get your assigned seat at check in. We were the Wickenburg car. For attire, I'd say sky is the limit. Some people dressed up in cute dresses or nice "causal dinner" style outfits, while others went more athletic. I'd say definitely bring a small backpack to leave at your table with anything you need or want to bring. You can easily access it all during the ride. When you board, you get a cheese platter, a small bottle of champagne to toast with and your own bartender. Our car was one of the more updated ones and was very comfortable. The views were wonderful and the workers are beyond talented at their jobs. Bring a good camera!

Such a pleasure! - Scenic, relaxing, and memorable. The gift shop and waiting area are nice; the on-board staff is excellent & they set a fun tone; the whole experience was worth the trip and the price.

A pleasant way to view the Verde River Canyon - The train station prior to our journey was pleasant , clean with friendly staff . There were numerous overpriced , unique souvenirs and mementos available in the gift shop. Boarding the train was reasonably well organized and the staff in each car were friendly, knowledgeable of local history and helpful . The charcuterie plates provided for each passenger were adequate . Our coach was comfortable with nice small couches and large windows but the only way to really see the mountainous vistas was to go out on the open observation cars . However, there was a notable shortage of open observation cars and those available were filled with numerous passengers along the sides thus making it virtually impossible to get any unobstructed views of the various sights or to get any pictures because of the human obstructions . The young attendant in our coach said that they were working on getting more open observation cars but for the price of this journey one would think that there would be a more adequate number of observation decks . A good experience that could be definitely improved

The staff and train ride,... - The staff and train ride, including seating, was very comfortable and pleasant. The views were good but taking an evening train during late Fall prevented additional scenic viewing on the return trip. Also, upon getting back when it is dark, sun down, the parking lot lighting is not very bright. When going back to the car, the low lighting along with moving car lights made walking the parking lot difficult.

It said it was a sunset ride and we saw no sunset. - I would recommend the daytime ride because coming back you see nothing.. House was disappointed in our car. The person wasn’t giving any information.. when I walked through the next car there was some and giving lots of information. Also very disappointed there was a lot of kids in our car making a lot of noise.

Non-Experience - The PA system is not effective to allow all to hear. If speaker is looking away, cannot hear at all. Views are limited. A disappointed from the advertised experience. Very Expensive for Value Received.
