Rivera Coffee Tour is a MUST see. - Rivera Coffee is such an amazing and magical location. I truly enjoyed the tour of the property especially when I recognized plants or fruits. I enjoyed learning about the way they grow the coffee plants, the brewing process, why other vegetation is grown in and around the coffee plants, planting the young coffee plants as well as the upkeep. It’s definitely NOT a part time or easy process. The fresh tortillas con frijoles were absolutely delicious and the coffee, out of this world. I’ve always taken a form of coffee experience or tour when vacationing in Central America and South America and I must say, I found my favorite café and it’s RiveraCoffee!!! When in Antigua, Guatemala don’t pass this tour up. It was a very quick ride through Cuidad Vieja and next thing I knew, I was walking on the beautiful property.

Great for coffee and plant lovers alike - The coffee farm tour has been the highlight of our trip so far. The host picked us up at our hotel and took us on a short drive to his property. We toured the property and learned all about coffee growing as well as the other plants he had. The farm was stunning and he was happy to answer all our questions. We then enjoyed two coffees he grew and roasted along with tortillas and beans that his wife made. All were delicious. It felt like such a special experience and we were glad the hosts shared it with us.

Coffee tour - Husband and wife gave us a tour of their plantation. They were wonderful and walked us through the whole daily process of what they do. The wife gave us a snack of homemade tortillas and black beans. Great tour that I would highly recommend.

Great experience - You have to make this tour. - This was a so cool experience. The farmer himself and his wife explained how they farm and grow their coffee beans on their farm. We visited the farm and went around. They also grow avocados and other crop on their farm. They also showed us the different processes to get a roasted coffee bean and we had the chance to taste the difference between two styles of making coffee and taste homemade tortillas with black beans. We highly recommend to make the tour. For me with a farming background this was a really special experience.

We would recommend this tour and visit again and again. - Our guide and his wife picked us up at our hostel. The tour was exciting and great fun. We were allowed to see the entire plantation and he had an answer to every question. The highlight was the coffee tasting at the end of our tour. This was accompanied by homemade tortillas and home-grown beansauce. After the tour we were taken back to our hostel.

Don’t go unless you confirm type of transport - They picked us up at 11 for a booked 9:00 tour. When they told me not aval at 9 agreed to 11. However what showed up was a filthy dented worker transport truck with a bench in back for us to sit on. I refused so sat in the filthy inside. Had I paid $15 I might have accepted but I did not. My husband is back there now in open highway. WTF! This is unacceptable and dangerous!
