Shopping in Ciudad Del Este - Paraguay - Prices compensate a lot. Just take some essential care like: Ignore the help of people on the street (mainly people asking what you're looking for and people selling socks); keep your money safe and take a backpack.

Tour Paraguay and shopping - Initially we took a tour of the city, we visited some tourist attractions such as San Blas Church, museum, cachaçaria and Salto Monday. Then we went shopping, stay, know exactly what to buy so as not to spend unnecessarily, as many things cost the same in Brazil. The locations accept cards, but the IOF is charged on the card bill. They accept currency in reais, dollars and guarani. For me, what made the most of it was perfumes. Knowing how to research, you can buy wines for 2.00 to 5.00 U$. Don't forget to go to the Paris shopping mall, on the second floor there is the China shopping mall, where you have the best values and options.

You can go crazy in this place! - We were in Foz and decided to take a trip to Paraguay. People, the prices are great! Azarro perfume that in Brazil comes out for 300 reais 50ml, there the 100ml comes out for 150. Everything costs 1/3 of the value. Coat that in Brazil easy is 400 reais, there is 90. Ipad for $90. Tablet for 200 reais. Our lady... You can only buy 2500 Reals per Cover/day, and you can't buy more than 2 identical items (example: you can't buy 3 identical fragrances, just 2). They accept pix (with 2% more in value) and international card. There are countless benches in the streets and great shops in the shoppings.
Tips: Ignore middle salesmen, they're fooling you.
Ignore the flyer deliveries or girls who say "There's cheaper, I'll take you there", she earns commission from stores that stay further away. You walk a bit and sometimes there is even more expensive.
When buying any electronic appliance, test in time. I point to the Matrix store inside a shop where I forgot the name. Prices are good and they let you keep your things there to walk around the city without having to carry a lot of bags in your hands (it is better to go backpacking to leave hands free).
When buying a mobile phone, throw away the box and carry it in your pocket as if it were already your use, so it is out of customs account.
It's not a walk for kids.

Shopping in Ciudad del Este. - Ciudad del Este is very special, one must take some time to get used to the place, today, October 2022, the mall is full of police and military, the area is very safe until 5 pm. Since 6.30 am the businesses open there are people in the center.
To buy everything!!! Electronic only in large places, with a one-month warranty for direct exchange. They take various cards, dilres, guaranies and reals. Not Argentine pesos. Which they do in Encarnacion. They take weights.
Clothing in the street, in the galleries, is cheap compared to Argentina, the quality must be sought, that tmb reflects the price. But nowadays it is to buy well and cheaply, except for some things that have international prices and change does not favor us. It's nice to go shopping, because it makes a difference if you're in the area.

Go to Cell Shop directly - We bought the tour along with our tickets and who attended us was the company mmc tourism. We went from van to shopping Paris, which is beautiful, has good shops but many expensive. China shopping on the third floor is good, but some things more expensive than its competitors.
We had 5 hours to shop so we had to run to the Cell shop and other shops on the street. If you are with children do not go out of the inside of the shopping, if you are afraid or have never walked for a March 25, bras or good retreat in commemorative times be very careful. On the streets you will find many opportunists, do not accept help or indications because they can take you to alleys and blackmail you, or even steal. From shopping Paris to the Cell shop you take around 15 minutes walking, it is worth going because there you really good prices, accept Pix and nomad. It has everything, it's two towers and you need to go in time to see everything. Most things compensated for buying right there.
Nissei store is also reliable, has good prices. The camels are not very reliable, we don't feel very safe on the street, so be careful.

A place to be if you live in Brazil - It was just a shopping visit. It was a good place to visit. But we will not visit again. The price in some stores are really good if we compare with the stores in Brazil, but how we live in Europe the prices wasn’t good.
We went outside the Shopping Mall but the street was so busy and the product with a lower quality that after 5 minutes we where back to the Shopping mall.

Only certain purchases - I didn't go, as they explained that to go, it's to shop specifically and come back not for a ride
That's why I gave up

Absolutely nothing worth buying!!!!!! - We used the trip just to go to another country. The border crossing was very quick as the driver/guide put our details on a form so no passport checks or stamps. I gave it one star as trip advertised as a shopping trip. You will be disappointed as everything was more expensive than I would have paid back in uk and I do mean everything. The tills were not ringing as nobody buying as cost too much. The Paris shopping centre had no restaurants just a few coffee shops and felt trapped in there. We were done after an hour and had to wait another 4 hours before the trip back so very bored just sat around with nothing to do. Although the trip was so cheap I would have crossed the bridge/border by foot and done it myself for a better experience. Place didn’t feel as unsafe as people make out.

Watch out for Dubai shop - Hello, I recommend not going to eastern city without knowing the prices of what they have in interest to buy, I went blind and found very bad.
He showed up at the hotel in Foz de Iguazu where a Mr. Dubai Shop was staying, which the people of the hotel endorsed, and convinced the guides of our tour that he would take us in Ciudad del Este to the best place, safer and with better prices.
He even made the visit to the Dam with us, constantly repeating that in Ciudad del Este we were wary of thefts, the fake goods, the people who would follow us through the streets, ... , and that he would take us to the best place for security, prices ... . . and I let myself be fooled, I believed him, I was entrusted to that business.
As for security, the place is very safe, of course they do not let anyone in to steal, only they do, with a big smile and good manners.
As I said, I went without notion of prices, if you doubt to buy you lower the price, it is a great maneuver, and even when you leave, you make it happy that you have obtained a discount, until when you return to the hotel you decide to search online how much it costs what you bought and you see the sad reality, you were charged double or triple what comes out.
I admit, the fault is mine for letting them rip me off, so I recommend that if you go to East City, be very careful if you enter Dubai Shop, they are what are called "white glove thieves".
I hope my bad experience serves others well to be more cautious than I was.
