• The Monastery Event Center - The tour makes a stop at the current Monastery Event Center, where the origin of Mt. Adams’ name and the history of the former Monastery will be shared.
• Holy Cross - Immaculata Parish - The tour pauses outside this church, offering one of the finest views in town. Participants will hear about the founders and the Irish and German immigrants who settled here.
• Mount Adams - Participants will explore the streets of Mt. Adams, uncovering its history, streets, and stories. They will learn about its legends, historical figures, hidden treasures, and breathtaking views.
• Overlook at Celestial and Hill - This spot provides a stunning city view and is perfect for photos. Here, participants will hear tales of the vineyards that once thrived and the individual who transformed Mt. Adams into an artistic hub.
• The View at Mt. Adams - Another spectacular viewpoint! Participants will see the city from a different perspective and learn about the remnants of the old train that once operated here.
• Ida Street - Offering excellent views of the OTR and city, participants will hear about the bridge and the area’s history. This is one of many remarkable viewpoints.
• Pilgrim Chapel United Church of Christ - The tour stops at the Pilgrim Chapel United Church of Christ, where participants will learn about its history, construction, and the immigrants who settled here, along with insights into the Underground Railroad.
• Mt. Adams Bar & Grill - The tour concludes at the historic bar once owned by a notorious bootlegger. Participants will hear stories of the bootlegger, prohibition, murder, the FBI, and the bar’s intriguing history.
