• Roebling Suspension Bridge - Begin the tour at the John Roebling statue (as shown), conveniently located next to the circular parking area where Greenup Street meets the Ohio River. The statue is adjacent to the circular parking area. (The Roebling Bridge is on the opposite side of the circular lot.)

• George Rogers Clark Park - The next destination is George Rogers Clark Park, where participants will see the statue of Steamboat Captain Mary Greene and hear about her spectral appearances to ship captains and crew on the Ohio River.

• BB Riverboats - View BB Riverboats, the former location of the Newport Army Barracks during the Civil War, and learn about a couple’s frightening encounter with the spirits of long-deceased soldiers.

• Carneal House Inn - The tour continues at the Thomas Carneal mansion, the oldest residence in Covington. Discover the story of a tragic suicide and the hauntings by “the Grey Lady,” possibly the city’s most renowned ghost.

• Governors Point Condominiums - Visit the former Booth Memorial Hospital, where local police had a chilling, ghostly experience, and where some current residents still report encounters with ghostly nurses. Prepare to be amazed by what lies in the morgue!

• Covington - Explore the Amos Shinkle house and learn about one of Covington’s earliest and wealthiest residents. But beware, the old carriage house holds a spine-tingling secret!

• Covington - Visit The Rugby, once the Henry Bruce mansion, and hear a tale of a ghostly encounter dating back to the Civil War era.

• Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center - Explore the Baker-Hunt House, the former home of Dr. William Hunt, his wife Margaretta Baker, and their daughter Katie. Learn about the family’s tragic history, the seances held here, and the ghostly sightings that have occurred on the property since.

If so, the Covington Haunted History tour is just what you need! Prepare yourself for 2 hours filled with spine-chilling stories about Covington’s haunted past! This tour delves into some of the darkest and most macabre tales of the city, from the ghostly apparitions of slaves, ship captains, and Civil War soldiers, to some of the most gruesome true crime stories of murders and suicides that will surely send shivers down your spine and make your hair stand on end! NOTE: This is a walking tour, so please wear comfortable walking shoes. The route is approximately 2 miles long. For those unable to walk the distance, a driving tour option is available, but this must be arranged at the time of booking (not on the day of the tour) by calling us.

• NOTE: The tour route is approximately 2 miles long on city sidewalks. It is wheelchair and stroller accessible. However, there is one stretch of sidewalk on 2nd street that is a bit steep, so pushing a wheelchair or stroller up the incline sidewalk may be a bit challenging for some travelers.
