• Namiyoke Inari Shrine - Discover the history and culture of Tsukiji and Tokyo, including the differences between Buddhism and Shintoism, by visiting Namiyoke (wave protection) shrine, the guardian shrine of Tsukiji. Connect with the heart of Tsukiji by viewing the charming and powerful lion head monument and photos reflecting the vibrant atmosphere of the Tsukiji Festival, a popular annual event held in June.
• Tsukiji Fish Market - Explore the Tsukiji Uogashi fish market, a market for restaurants and chefs, for 1 hour. The Uogashi kiji Fish Market is open only to professional chefs from 5:00 to 9:00 AM. It is reputed to be the cleanest market in the world. You can purchase professional quality food at reasonable prices, take a seat, and enjoy it right there. Let your senses be delighted by the fresh and enticing seafood, including massive tuna, octopus, and many other varieties! If fortunate, you may witness the huge bluefin tuna being cut up and see 140cm long tuna knives, resembling beautiful, sharp samurai swords. Finally, head to the rooftop of the building and enjoy the view over Tsukiji town from the terrace with a lovely view of Tokyo Bay in the breeze. Capture a commemorative photo to conclude the tour. You will also receive a small souvenir!
