Unique experience, highly recommended - Very interesting insight into a culture unique to Japan. Our guide gave us a running commentary via earpiece as we watched the sumo athletes train in their stable in front of the stable master for an hour. I was pleased that we had seats as for me personally I’d be uncomfortable sitting on the floor that long (need to practice my sumo squats!) Highly recommended

Excellent morning practice! - This was an excellent tour! It was a perfect amount of time to watch sumo without being there for three hours. Our tour guide, Kay, was friendly and very informative on sumo in general and the specific wrestlers we were watching. Watching them practice you really get a sense of how athletic these guys are. We then got to take photos with three of the wrestlers after practice finished. This was absolutely worth while.

Authentic sumo experience - Shinobu was an amazing guide, explained to us that Sumo is much more than just a sport. The practice had a very serious atmosphere, but as soon as it ended, the wrestlers were very friendly.

Great start to our Japan experience - An epic hour of action with bangs, crashes, sliding, lifting and stomping. The sumos are fitter, faster and more agile than you would think. An amazing experience. Highly recommended.

Watch Sumo Training with commentary - Total time is 1 hr to watch sumo wrestlers train. There's commentary to explain details of sumo wrestling. After which, you get to take 1 photo with the sumo wrestlers. Interesting enough, but it's would be nice to have more interaction. Maybe a dinner plus sumo demonstration would be a better choice.
