One of a kind - This was one of our favorite things we did on our vacation! It was so interesting to learn how much sumo wrestling is tied to spirituality and respect. We got to meet real wrestlers and the stable manager, who was once a wrestler himself, and he answered so many of our questions. Thank you to our tour guide Toshiya for your kindness and vast understanding of the sport. We’re officially fans of sumo wrestling and can’t wait to attend a tournament!

Morning tour to see incredible wrestlers with friendly tour guides - We went on the 10:30 tour with Yoko and it was an incredible time. She explains the action in your ear with a little radio as the wrestlers gob through their morning training. It was amazing to see the hard work and dedication these athletes have. Everyone else was so polite and knowledable. It was a truly awesome experience. Highly reccomend.

They hit hard! Great training experience. - Interesting introduction to Sumo. Guide Noriko provided good context to the morning training and custom behind the sport. Small tour group made the visit engaging and pictures with the rikishi was a great way to finish the morning. Highly recommended.

Great experience, not a tourist trap - A great way to see the culture side of Japan. NOT a tourist trap at all, nothing upsold, just a true and authentic way to see the wrestlers go about their morning. You do need to be prepared to sit on a pad on the floor for about two hours sitting cross legged, so be aware of that. But a great experience and highly memorable. Toshiya was our guide and was such a great guy, friendly, and knowledgable. Would do again if I came back with someone new to Japan / Tokyo.
