• Tsukishima Monjya Street - Before venturing out after 5pm, savor Tsukishima’s beloved dish, Monjayaki (or Okonomiyaki). Monjayaki traces its origins to a sweet called mojiyaki, which evolved into okonomiyaki in Kansai and monjayaki in Kanto during the Taisho era. Discover the evolution of Japanese culinary culture on Tsukishima’s renowned Monja Street.
• Uracori Ginza Ura Corridor - Immerse yourself in Japanese after-5 culture in Shinbashi, the hub of Japanese bar-hopping. Experience the izakaya culture that originated in the Edo period and “bar hopping,” a vital aspect of Japanese culture. After visiting Shinbashi SL Park, known as the birthplace of Japanese railways, explore two izakayas on the hidden corridor street known only to locals.

This tour offers a unique insight into how Japanese individuals unwind after work. Bar-hopping is an integral part of Japanese culture. The meeting point is in Ginza, one of Japan’s most esteemed entertainment areas. In Tsukishima, participants can try Monjayaki, a local culinary treasure. Discover Shinbashi, the hub of after-work entertainment, while gaining knowledge about its history and Japan’s bar-hopping traditions. The tour highlights hidden gems not typically found on standard tours, revealing deeper elements of Japanese culture that are intricately woven into daily life. The tour includes two drinks and four snacks. Any additional drinks or snacks ordered beyond what is provided will be at the participant’s own expense.
