Located at the top of Gwanghwamun Square, Gyeongbokgung Palace shines brightly in the nation’s central area. As the first and largest palace built by the Joseon Dynasty in 1395, it originally comprised 330 buildings and housed up to 3,000 staff members.

Before entering the palace, witness the royal guard changing ceremony. This reenactment offers a rare glimpse into tradition, performed exactly as it was historically. Guards appear in royal uniforms, carrying traditional weapons and playing traditional instruments.

Gwanghwamun Square - Gwanghwamun Square is akin to the central spine of Korea. It is a vast open plaza where you can see the country’s major administrative buildings. Statues of historically significant figures stand here, and it serves as a platform for democracy, with various political demonstrations taking place.

Cheonggyecheon Stream - Cheonggyecheon Stream is an 8.4-kilometer (5.2-mile) waterway and public space running from west to east through downtown Seoul.

Initially covered with cement and used as roads due to sanitation issues during floods, the stream was uncovered and transformed into a modern park in 2005. Wildlife such as herons, fish, and even turtles can be found along the stream. This beloved park is a place where people dip their feet in the water during breaks and is also a site for lantern festivals.
