- Christchurch - Begin your tour in the beautiful city of Christchurch. As the journey commences, the guide will not only set the tone for an exciting day but also highlight and navigate through some of the area’s top attractions.
- Canterbury Plains - Leaving Christchurch, the tour proceeds through the remarkable Canterbury Plains, offering plenty of stunning New Zealand farmland and countryside views along the way.
- Geraldine - This delightful town in South Canterbury is renowned for its boutique shops and local produce. Here, there will be a stop to pick up lunch, take a short break, enjoy a coffee if desired, and use the facilities before continuing the journey.
- Lake Tekapo - Departing Geraldine, the tour heads towards the renowned blue waters of Lake Tekapo, passing through impressive alpine passes with breathtaking views. Upon arrival at Tekapo, the stunning view of the lake will captivate you. A quick photo stop at the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd is included.
- Lake Pukaki - Heading west, the tour enters Aoraki National Park, where Lake Pukaki comes into view. This lake is one of the bluest you’ll ever see, beautifully framed by Aoraki/Mt Cook and the Southern Alps. It’s easy to see why many Lord of the Rings scenes were filmed nearby, and these locations will be pointed out.
- Aoraki Mount Cook National Park (Te Wahipounamu) - Within the national park, enjoy 2 hours of free time for walks/hikes or optional activities. Recommended options include: Kea Point Track, Blue Lakes, Tasman Glacier Walk, or scenic flights (view the region from the air and land on the Tasman Glacier) or visit the Mt Cook Visitor Centre & Hermitage Hotel. Whatever the choice, transportation will be provided to ensure a comfortable experience.
- High Country Salmon - Leaving Aoraki/Mt Cook Village and heading back to Queenstown, the tour stops at High Country Salmon, a local salmon farm, where you can feed the fish and taste some of New Zealand’s freshest salmon.
- Lindis Pass - Ascending in altitude, Lindis Pass offers spectacular views through the valleys. It is one of only three alpine roads through the otherwise impassable Southern Alps.
- Jackson Orchards - During the summer months, as the tour nears Queenstown, a stop at Jacksons Orchard is often made to sample or purchase delicious local fruit or real fruit ice cream.
- Kawarau Suspension Bridge - Approaching Queenstown, the tour travels through the stunning Kawarau Gorge, offering breathtaking views, the Kawarau Suspension Bridge, and the famous Roaring Meg Lookout.
- Queenstown - Unfortunately, the tour concludes as it arrives in Queenstown, where farewells are exchanged.
