Willowbank was the first to open a glass-free nocturnal house for kiwi in a natural environment, guaranteeing viewings every time. - Cardboard Cathedral - The Cardboard Cathedral, formally called the Transitional Cathedral, in Christchurch, New Zealand, is the transitional pro-cathedral of the Anglican Diocese of Christchurch, replacing ChristChurch Cathedral, which was significantly damaged in the 2011 Christchurch earthquake. The Cardboard Cathedral was designed by the Japanese architect Shigeru Ban and opened in August 2013. It is located on the site of the former St John the Baptist Church on the corner of Hereford and Madras Streets in Latimer Square, several blocks from the permanent location of ChristChurch Cathedral. - Christchurch Botanic Gardens - Christchurch, coined the Garden City, is an Anglophile settlement of well-tended gardens and tree-lined streets. Its crowning jewel is the 52-acre (21-hectare) Christchurch Botanic Gardens, attractively set within Hagley Park alongside the winding Avon River, The gardens are planted with thousands of exotic and indigenous plants and trees including seasonal blooms such as magnolias, azaleas, and 250 varieties of roses.

Lovely little tour - Rosa was our tour guide, she promptly picked us up by 2.30pm took our around the cardboard church, art gallery, botanical gardens and the cashmere lookout. Since the weather was bad she suggested the ferrymead vintage park which we also loved. Would recommend this tour to get around the city in a short time.

Christchurch by Tesla - Being picked up in a Tesla and driven all around Christchurch with our very own private guide was a wonderful and efficient way to be able to tour so many of the different sights in and around Christchurch. Our guide was well informed and friendly and a good driver, too. :) He showed us interesting places that were off the beaten track from the regular sight seeing list. We really enjoyed the Cardboard Cathedral. Friends on the ship had not heard of it and we were pleased that we were given the opportunity to see it this unique building and tell them all about it. Big thumbs up for our guide!

Bugs and Birds - Our guide, Sam was awesome. The WETA tour was meh. Small facility and basically just looking at models. But the town tour that Sam gave us was amazing with excellent narration. Followed his recommendations and went to Zealandia after (he dropped us off) and it was amazing. Definitely recommend.

Kashmir is interesting... - Kashmir is interesting and Botanical Garden is amazing and beautiful.. Our guide, Mr. Ahn explained town throughly and was knowledgeable and kind!!

Pleasant visit to Christchurch. - This was a pleasant tour. The driver was punctual, accommodating and friendly. Unfortunately, we ran out of time at the Botanical Gardens (waiting for lunch) and could not see anything there, we missed the highlight of the tour actually. The stop at the zoo could easily be deleted, it is a nice place for children but not for older cruise travelers.

Good tour, but time ran short - Our excellent driver, Andrew, was friendly and informative. However, somehow the advertised timing for this excursion of off by a long shot. Although we did not spend extra time (beyond 5 min. or so) at the first several stops, there was no time at the end to visit the Botanic Gardens (which was supposed to be an hour long, and was my most anticipated stop). We felt that this was poor planning on the part of the tour company, and they did not take travel times sufficiently into account. We felt cheated out of a significant part of the tour.

A nice introduction to Christchurch - A very nice introduction to Christchurch and the city's history, visiting many sights and places of interest. Also about the earthquake a few years ago, and the rebuilding of the city after that. The Botanic Garden is a must.

Okay tour in a car with prerecorded tour notes. - Pickup was on time and we went to all the sites. The ride was a Tesla model 3. The guide didn’t seem all that engaged or knowledgeable. Most of the info we got was from prerecorded travel notes that sounded like they were recorded with AI.

Tour lacked professional planning and experience - While our guide was nice person, tour lacked proper planning. Main attraction, card board church was closed already when we reached, seems it closes earlier every Saturday and disappointment was easily avoidable if this stop was a first stop. Moreover it felt like a uber ride transportation from point a to point b without providing much context- for context guide did start playing audio after this was pointed out, would have expected a well planned professional experience at this price. Regret having booked with this tour company. Our request for partial refund was also quickly denied which would seem a fair ask and no apologies were offered for the mix up which was really tour planning fault.
