Fuji Found Under a Cloud - It became a long day due to traffic issues on the Expressway which made it very difficult especially for the young children on board

Visit to Mt. Fuji - The tour was very interesting and we were so lucky to see Mt. Fuji. Unfortunately, we went on a holiday weekend so the traffic was crazy, we could not visit one of the places. The tour guide Jeffrey was very nice explaining everything along the way, but the time factor made him a bit stressed and made me feel stressed. Overall, the experience was worth it.

Good way to see Mt Fuji if you can’t go for an overnight - This was a fast paced tour to see Mt Fuji, and we were very lucky to have a clear sky this morning! Lunch is not included, so bring cash, depending on what you ordered it averaged an additional 2,000-3,500 yen. It was sometimes difficult to understand our tour guide, but she messaged in the WhatsApp which made it clear when to be back on the bus so no one got left behind. It would be nice if there was a tour leaving earlier around 7am so we could avoid some of the crowds. It would also give us time so we aren’t rushing the sites. Oishi Park and the ropeway offer stunning views. Definitely try the lavender ice cream at Oishi Park! Bus is very comfortable. Overall this was a great way to see Fuji if you don’t have time for an overnight stay, but be prepared for crowds and to be moving fast.

Beware and Confirm English speaking Guide - WORST experience ever. Lost an entire day in Japan with a NON-English tour guide/driver. Almost missed pick up due to chaotic meeting spot once in van (small group) tour guide never gave us his name, never said what plan was as far as next area being visited, recommendations for bathroom stops, lunch spot chosen was cash only but because the guide did not speak English we had no idea what we where seeing or spot being visited. The entire van group was unsettled by the erratic trip. The guide forgot to alert 2 couples that he was returning to Tokyo and had to leave them at a train station some 15-20 minutes away all due to the non English nonverbal attempts by guide. Tour was specifically. For small group and English speaking guide which we got nothing from trip, would like full refund as we barely made it back with how driver was reading a book on phone or chat while driving back 2 hours to Tokyo. Unbelievable.

Horrible experience. No English Speaking - Review of Mt Fuji We had planned to spend the day with a driver and a small group to learn more about the area and Mt. Fuji. We got none of it. English tour with driver that spoke no English. The whole Tour was problematic. To star the day our Driver never introduced himself. I Google translated the name from the WhatsApp intro from the company and it said “Sekiten”. He didn’t communicate well on pickup place. Then realized he doesn’t communicate at all. I think he speaks English but hard to say. No talking the whole 2 hour ride to the first stop. He was falling asleep. Having to hit himself and put cold cans on his face to just stay awake. He also drove way too fast and erratic. Then we arrived somewhere. No talking yet. 1 instruction at the first location, “be back at 11:30”. Nothing about what to do, where we are or anything about the place we would spend the next 90 minutes. This was the Mt. Fuji cable car as we would find out. We arrived at our next stop. I had to ask what it was. It was confirmed he does not speak English. He tried using his phone to translate for me. It was the Matcha presentation and tasting. Off to the next stop, still no attempt to talk or communicate. We found out it was lunch and he had no idea on where we should go. Took us to all to restaurant that only took cash but didn’t prepare us. We had to find an ATM. Next stop was a park and he pointed and said “back at 2”. No explanation. Next stop TBD. We stopped at Lawson’s. No explanation. I looked up the tour on TripAdvisor to try and get some idea on why we stopped at Lawson’s. On our way home we were to arrive by 6 for a 10 hour tour. When we left it was to be 6:15 based on Google. Except the driver forgot to drop off 4 guests in Mt . Fuji where they are staying. So he had to double back and added 30 minutes to our arrival. Other than Mt. Fuji I have no idea what we were seeing, what was the history or anything. Just a waste of our limited time in Tokyo.
