- Tokyo Station Marunouchi Ekimae Hiroba - The tour guide will collect guests from most central Tokyo hotels. If a hotel is not listed, please inform us—we might still be able to arrange a convenient pick-up.
After meeting the guide, guests will take a subway or local train to Tokyo Station, where the adventure truly begins. From there, board Japan’s renowned Shinkansen, also known as the Bullet Train. Settle in for an incredibly smooth and comfortable ride as the train races through the landscape at an impressive speed. In just about 35 minutes, guests will arrive at Odawara Station, transforming travel time into an unforgettable experience.
- Odawara Station Tourist Information Center - Upon arrival at Odawara Station, the guide will arrange a rental car near the station to serve as private transportation for the remainder of the tour. Please note that under current Japanese law, only National Licensed Guide Interpreters (Zenkoku Tsuyaku Annaishi) are allowed to accompany foreign guests in private or rental cars. The only exceptions are taxis or registered commercial vehicles with green license plates, operated by drivers with a commercial (Type 2) driver’s license.
- Hakone Shrine - Hakone Shrine is the oldest and most significant Shinto shrine in the region. Its main hall stands solemnly amidst an ancient cedar forest. The shrine’s iconic red torii gate, located along the lakeshore, is one of Japan’s most famous and photographed spots.
- Mt. Fuji Skyline - Enjoy a pleasant drive toward Japan’s highest mountain, Mt. Fuji. From late May through late October, excluding July and August, guests will visit Mt. Fuji’s 2nd Station, located at an elevation of approximately 1,200 meters above sea level, where they can enjoy fresh mountain air and stunning views.
During the winter season and the climbing season (July, August, and early September), alternative scenic spots such as Gotemba Peace Park or Lake Yamanaka will be visited, both offering beautiful nature and excellent views of Mt. Fuji.
- Gotemba - Upon request, the guide can arrange a stop for a traditional Japanese lunch at a local restaurant in Gotemba. Enjoy a delicious and authentic Japanese meal made with fresh, local ingredients. Vegetarian options are available. (Lunch is optional.)
- Hakone-machi - On the return to Odawara Station, the guide will drive guests to Daikanzan Observatory, one of the best viewing spots in Hakone. From this scenic lookout, enjoy a magnificent, breathtaking panorama of Hakone and Mt. Fuji. It’s a perfect place to take stunning photos and create unforgettable memories.
- Odawara Station Tourist Information Center - After returning the rental car, guests will take the Bullet Train back to Tokyo. Since Odawara Station is a local Shinkansen stop, there is an opportunity to watch the Nozomi Shinkansen race past on the passing track at astonishing speed—an unforgettable sight that truly showcases the power of Japan’s rail technology.
After witnessing the Nozomi flash by, sit back and relax during a comfortable 40-minute Bullet Train ride back to Tokyo Station.
- Tokyo Station Marunouchi Ekimae Hiroba - Upon arrival at Tokyo Station, the guide will escort guests back to their hotel or the original pick-up location from the morning by subway or train. The amazing one-day private tour concludes at the hotel. We hope guests truly enjoyed the experience!
