Puno - Chivay - Hot Springs

Laguna Lagunillas - The adventure begins! Between 6:10 and 6:20 AM, the team will pick you up from your hotel in Puno to embark on the journey to Chivay, approximately 300 km away. En route, there will be a stop at Laguna Lagunillas, a stunning water mirror surrounded by highland landscapes where pink flamingos, Andean ducks, and other migratory birds can be spotted. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and capture beautiful photos of this natural wonder.

Abra Patapampa - The journey continues through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, a protected area where vicuñas are often seen in their natural environment. The next stop is the Mirador de los Andes – Patapampa, situated at 4,910 meters above sea level, the highest point of the tour. From here, enjoy a magnificent view of the Cordillera Occidental and the volcanoes Misti, Chachani, Sabancaya, and Ubinas. It’s a perfect spot to appreciate the majesty of the Andean landscape.

Chivay - Arrival in Chivay is expected between 1:00 and 1:30 PM, where a buffet lunch featuring typical Andean cuisine awaits. Afterward, there will be time to settle into your hotel and prepare for a visit to the La Calera Thermal Baths (38°C), where you can unwind in the mineral-rich hot springs. In the evening, return to Chivay for a dinner show featuring folk dances from Arequipa and Chivay, where you can participate in the festivities. The day concludes with a restful night at the hotel.

Chivay - Colca Canyon - Arequipa

Colca Canyon - The day starts at 6:00 AM with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a trip to the awe-inspiring Colca Canyon, one of the world’s deepest canyons, exceeding 4,000 meters in depth. There will be free time to explore the area and admire its mountainous landscapes, pre-Inca terraces, and steep walls.

Mirador Cruz del Condor - The next destination is the Cruz del Condor Viewpoint, the most renowned spot in Colca Canyon, where the majestic flight of the Andean condor, the largest flying bird in the world, can be observed. With luck, these magnificent birds will be seen soaring over the canyon in their natural habitat. This is one of the trip’s most iconic moments and a fantastic opportunity for stunning photography.

Yanque - The return journey to Chivay includes passing through Andean villages such as Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque, where the colonial architecture, ancient churches, and pre-Inca agricultural terrace systems still in use can be explored. Experience the authenticity of Andean life and immerse yourself in the local culture.

Chivay - Before concluding the tour, enjoy a final buffet lunch in Chivay, offering a variety of Andean dishes. Then, board the tour bus to Arequipa, with an estimated arrival between 4:30 and 5:00 PM at the Plaza de Armas in Arequipa, where this unforgettable adventure concludes.
