Arequipa - San Juan de Chuccho

Chivay - Early in the morning, the excursion begins with a journey to the town of Chivay, where a delightful breakfast awaits upon arrival.

Mirador Cruz del Condor - The tour proceeds to the Condor’s Cross (3,800 meters above sea level), offering a fantastic opportunity to witness the majestic Condor in flight.

San Juan de Chuccho - Next, the journey continues to Cabanaconde, the starting point for the trek.

Upon reaching the viewpoints of Pampas de San Miguel (3,300 meters), the descent into the canyon begins, covering 4.6 miles (approximately 3 hours) until reaching San Juan de Chuccho (2,400 meters above sea level). This charming town is surrounded by lush and vibrant vegetation.

Here, a delicious lunch will be served, and there will be an opportunity to learn about local fruit trees and medicinal plants. Later, dinner will be enjoyed, followed by an overnight stay.

San Juan de Chuccho - Sangalle

Malata - After breakfast, a trek of 2.5 miles begins, navigating both uphill and downhill paths, and visiting enchanting traditional towns such as Cosñirhua, with a chance to admire pre-Incan ruins. The journey also passes through the town of Malata, where its historic Spanish church can be seen. Lunch will be provided.

Oasis Sangalle - The descent continues to the Oasis of Sangalle (2,225 meters above sea level) for an overnight stay. Here, a refreshing swim in the pool and lunch can be enjoyed. Short tours around the oasis are available (optional).

In the evening, a delicious dinner will be served, providing time for a well-deserved rest.

Sangalle - Arequipa

Cabanaconde - The tour resumes early in the morning with an exhilarating 3-hour trek (2.5 miles), ascending the canyon slope to reach the town of Cabanaconde. After breakfast in this picturesque town, transportation will be arranged to Chivay.

Maca - En route, the Antahuilque viewpoint will be visited, showcasing stunning landscapes of Inca terraces. A stop will also be made in the town of Maca, known for its beautiful colonial church.

Yanque - The town of Yanque offers hot springs (optional*).

Reserva Nacional Pampa Cañahuas - The journey continues to Chivay for lunch (optional*). On the return to Arequipa, there will be an opportunity to pass through the National Reserve of Pampa Cañahuas, home to camelids such as alpacas, vicuñas, and llamas.

Upon arrival, guests will be dropped off two blocks from the Plaza de Armas of Arequipa.

There is an option to choose a transfer to Puno at the end of the tour on day 3. Departure from Chivay is at 1:00 p.m., with arrival at the main square of Puno at 7:00 p.m.

• If you want to take the transfer to Puno on the last day, please select the correct option when booking. The regular bus will depart from Chivay at 1:00 p.m. and will drop you off at the main square of the city of Puno, arriving at 7:00 p.m. Upon arrival in Puno, you will need to make your own way to your hotel
• If you book the tour with the transfer to Puno included, you can leave your big luggage in a safe place located in the town of Cabanaconde (starting point of the trek) on the first day, and pick it up before arriving to Chivay on the last day. It has an extra cost, paid at the moment, in cash, in local currency (PEN)
• You should be in good physical condition
• Due to the altitude, we recommend a good acclimatization before starting any activity
