Situated approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) from Santiago and at an elevation of 2,500 meters (8,200 feet), this location offers natural pools with waters that can reach up to 50°C (122°F). These pools are beautifully arranged as outdoor terraces, formed by calcareous deposits and the activity of the San Jose Volcano, which stands at 5,856 meters (19,200 feet). Visitors can indulge in a soothing and therapeutic hot spring bath amidst the Andes, following a breathtaking 4-kilometer (2.4-mile) hike to the viewpoint of the San Jose Volcano volcanic complex.
