- Tierra del Fuego - The day starts with picking up tourists from their accommodations in Punta Arenas between 07:00 and 07:45. They are then taken to the Tres Puentes terminal to board the ferry that crosses the Strait of Magellan, a journey lasting 2 hours, to reach the Island of Tierra del Fuego. Arrival is around 11:30 at Bahia Chilota, where disembarkation occurs. From there, a short 5-kilometer trip, approximately 20 minutes, leads to one of the southernmost cities in Patagonia, the city of Porvenir. Visitors can explore its Plaza de Armas, Plaza de los Selknams, the waterfront, and its small yet fascinating museum, as well as the city viewpoint. Lunch is at a local, affordable restaurant where payment can be made with cash or card.
- Tierra del Fuego - The journey then continues to the King Penguin Park, located 114 km from the city. This trip takes about 1.5 hours, with much of it along Bahía Inútil. The Park offers a unique opportunity to observe a group of approximately 40 penguins. After spending an hour at the park, the trip proceeds to the center of Estancia Josefina, one of the island’s most significant sites. A visit to the Cerro Sombrero oil town is also included.
Finally, the return crossing of the Strait of Magellan is through its narrowest part (First Angostura), taking only 20 minutes. Depending on the travel date, timing, and daylight hours, there may be a stop at the abandoned Estancia San Gregorio, one of the region’s first and most historic sites, before returning to Punta Arenas between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
