- Chilam Joshi Festival in Chitral was a magical experience—and what made it even more special was the incredible setting: Gahirat Castle 1913, a historical gem owned by the royal family of Chitral. The castle itself is a beautiful piece of heritage nestled amidst mountains and full of old-world charm. Staying or visiting here felt like stepping back in time, surrounded by stories, tradition, and royal architecture. It was the perfect place to witness the vibrant Kalash celebration of Chilam Joshi, where locals welcomed spring with traditional music, dancing, and colorful rituals. The tour then took us through Hunza and Gilgit, where we explored breathtaking landscapes, centuries-old forts, and welcoming communities. From the rich culture of Chitral to the majestic beauty of Hunza, every part of the journey was thoughtfully curated. If you want to experience authentic culture, royal heritage, and mountain magic, this tour is a must. The festival, the castle, and the scenery combined to create an unforgettable memory.
