There is an exciting opportunity to visit the “Martha and Mary” Monastery, situated near the village of Hagimus. This monastery serves as a hub for pilgrimage and contemplation, with its churches housing sacred relics and remains, offering a serene and spiritual atmosphere.
In 2003, the modern chapter in the history of Château Purcari began with the replanting of 250 hectares of vineyards and the installation of state-of-the-art equipment at the winery, which was originally established in 1827. Purcari wines have since been exported to over 25 countries worldwide, proudly representing the Republic of Moldova on the international stage.
The tour of the “Purcari Winery” includes visits to the grape processing area, the wine storage section, and the bottling area. Additionally, there is an exploration of the historical section – the cellars where wine ages in barrels, the bottle maturation process, the Purcari wine collection, and a tour of the tourist complex.
The visit concludes with a traditional lunch in the village of Carahasani.
