- Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve - Lagoon of Salinas is located in the south side of the National Park Salinas and Aguada Blanca, and we take a dirt road in order to visit it, which is not the road through which goes to Chivay (Colca Canyon) when we go to Colca canyon, we go by the north side on a paved road.
- Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve - We will walk through Salinas visiting the left side of the lagoon (Salinas Huito) and the right side (Salinas Moche).

Probably the best tour I’ve ever taken! - Our private tour to the Salinas National Reserve was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.
✨ Guide: Julio — He was truly exceptional. Julio spoke fluent English and took great care throughout the day. He drove carefully and paced the tour to help us acclimatise to the high altitude (all over 4,000 m!), and even though it was our first time at such elevation, we had no issues whatsoever.
He shared fascinating stories, and went off the beaten path, taking us to remote places where we saw no one else — only stunning views and wildlife.
⚡ Special moments — A delicious homemade lunch lakeside, with alpacas and vicuñas grazing nearby — total serenity, total magic. And Julio’s clever perspective photos on the salinas had us all laughing with delight.
This tour really stands out as one of the most well‑organised and heartfelt experiences I’ve ever had. Highly, highly recommended!

Absolutely brilliant - the best trip in Peru! - This was probably the best trip I have been on anywhere in the world! For 1/4 the price of Macchu Picchu we had a private tour with an exceptionally knowledgable guide. We got a couple of meters away from a Peruvian rabbit, meters from flamingos and saw loads of wild Vicuñas. We had lunch on the salt flats - incredible! Many thanks to our great guide!

Book This Tour Today! - Absolutely amazing day! Julio was so kind and accommodating. He allowed us to adjust our start time and pick up location. He’s very knowledgeable, responsive and gave us a lot of information about the history, culture and area. He answered all our questions and is an excellent photographer. The lunch his wife prepared was delicious and nutritious.
It’s helpful to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, layers (jacket/coat, sweater, scarf), and wear boots or old sneakers as some areas are muddy. Also you may not have access to an indoor bathroom.

Amazing! - This was such a wonderful experience! Julio is a wealth of knowledge, we learned so much about the landscape and history of Arequipa. My son had a little trouble with the altitude and Julio was quick with remedies and advise to get him feeling better. We walked away loving the day and talking about how amazing it was!

Perfect experience in Salinas Lagoon - The trip is amazing. Julio is an excellent guide, he told us a lot about the history of Peru. He shot some amazing pictures of us as well!

Salinas National Reserve - We highly recommend this private trip to Salinas National Reserve. Our guide Julio was very knowledgeable in Peruvian history, culture and politics, so we learned so much during our trip. His English was very good and he is also very well versed in current world affairs.
The Reserve is vast, you will get a chance to see protected species like vicuñas up close, as well as other fauna and flora.

Our wonderful tour of Laguna Salinas - This is definitely the stand out experience of our five day visit to Arequipa. Julio is not only a great guide, but also an informed historian as to Peruvian history, the cultural expressions and overall the biology flora, fauna and geographic history of Laguna Salinas
