Perfect family trip — expert guide, stress-free private tour to Chichén Itzá - We’ve just arrived back at the hotel after the most amazing trip to Chichén Itzá and I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough!
From the moment we were picked up, Josh and our driver Rod took such good care of us. It’s a fairly long drive, and with two children it can feel even longer, but Josh made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He regularly checked whether we needed to stop for comfort breaks, which was really appreciated.
When we arrived, Josh sorted everything with the tickets and made the whole experience completely stress-free. His knowledge of the Mayan civilisation is incredible and he happily answered all of our questions — and there were plenty, especially from the children! He showed us so much interesting information, pointed things out that we would definitely have missed on our own and made sure we got to all the best spots for photos.
It really was such an incredible experience, and Josh genuinely made the day extra special for us.
I also can’t speak highly enough of the Express Private Tour. In my opinion, it is absolutely worth paying the extra money. We got there before the huge crowds and were able to explore before all the coaches started arriving. We also avoided the hottest part of the day, which was a massive bonus, especially with children, as there is very little shade.
We’ve already booked another snorkelling excursion through the same company, and we were so pleased to find out that Josh will be looking after us again!
Honestly, what an incredible day. We made some amazing memories as a family and we’re so grateful to Josh and Rod for making the whole experience so enjoyable and special. I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Awesome Josh and driver Ki - Amazing day. Very knowledgeable and lovely guide and driver. Very clear on plans , schedule and options. Was an absolute pleasure to work with Josh again. Ki had an immaculate mini van that was very comfortable ✨✨✨

Highly Personalized Private Tour - Juan was a thoughtful, easy to connect to and understand, tour guide who spoke in a highly informed and highly engaging manner to my daughter’s and my interests. He gave lots of good stories and history about the site, sharing things to notice and look at on the structures. He even gave noticings to the nature - plants and animals - along the walk. The timing of this visit was impeccable as we arrived at a special entrance to enter the site and get essentially private views/photos of the main temple before the rest of the tourist groups arrived. It felt like a private tour on the site as we walked to places before others were there, and at the end we had finished when it was suddenly much more crowded, but we were done! Great planning ahead and it was an informational, personal, and good time had by all. Well worth the price! Would definitely use him and his company again for future tours.

100% recommend this tour - Such an amazing trip! Eddy and Enrique were so friendly and Eddy was extremely knowledgeable about Chitchen Itza. The drive from Cancun to Chitchen Itza was comfortable and smooth. Would 100% recommend.

Wonderful private tour of Chichen Itsa. - As Chichen Itsa was 2.5 to 3 hours from our resort, we wanted to do a faster private tour that just included the ruins. It was so easy to book and we loved our driver ( forget name) and our guide, Eduardo. Both were professional, safe, and friendly. As three women alone that was very important to us. Eduardo was very knowledgeable and experienced with relating the history of the temples and the Mayan people. The trip there and back was very comfortable in a van with a cooler stocked with water and other drinks. We actually did another private tour with this company to a cenote and Tulum I’ll review separately. We found the prices for a private tour to be very reasonable! Don’t forget to tip 15 to 20% though!! They can’t work all of the year due to the rainy and hurricane season. Thanks for the great tour!!

Quick and easy private tour. - Quick and easy. Pickup was on time at our resort. Toll fees for toll road and tickets to the site were all covered in package price streamlining the entry. Driver was professional and vehicle well maintained and clean. Guide was thorough, informative and to the point. If you are looking for a quick, easy, no stress to the point tour of Chichen Itza this is the way to go.

Private Sunrise Tour to Chichen Itza with Arturo. - Arturo was an outstanding guide on our private sunrise express tour to Chichen Itza. We were picked up as promised a little before 6:00 am. Our driver Yosmar was professional and we felt safe in his capable hands. We arrived at 7:30 am and I asked Art to take our picture in front of the sign. He said if we didn’t do it then, it would be impossible later with the crowds and he was not wrong! I appreciate the tip as I really wanted a pic of us in front of the sign! While Art purchased our tickets we had a chance to use the restroom which was appreciated. There were just a few people in line so when they opened, we pretty much had the place to ourselves! It was an amazing site to see the Temple of Kukulcán without hoards of people! We got some great pics as well. Art was a good communicator and had a binder of visuals to help bring the stories/information to life. We visited all three of the main architectural areas based on construction styles and periods and never had issues with crowds etc. We inquired about a quick bite to eat and Art had a couple of suggestions, one being to stop along the way and try an authentic Mexican pork sandwich made fresh while we waited. We did this and were not disappointed! This private sunrise tour is the way to go! I liked being on our own schedule, not having to battle crowds and having a personal guide that was able to answer any questions we had and go at our pace. Thank you Art for making our time in Chichen Itza educational and memorable!
