Unethical Company - changes times of tour, no call, no refund. - We booked a tour through GetYourGuide. They messaged us the night before changing the pick up time by almost an hour, making the tour start time of 6AM to drop to 5AM. We rushed to try and arrive at the updated pick up time to only see the tour bus driving out of the parking lot. Did they message us on the app? Did they call? No they did not. We messaged immediately through the app letting them know we arrived. We messaged both GetYourGuide and Amigo Tours to see about a refund. Both denied our request even though they changed the tour time and then didn't call or message us before leaving. If they would have done so we would have told them we were a block away. We had already paid the GetYourGuide tour fees for booking PLUS the additional entrance fees for Chichen Itza that they charge you - $45 USD per person. Which they also refused to refund even though we never actually made the tour or entered the ruins. I booked a new tour for the following day which we went on. To my surprise - there was a lady who was late for the tour. We actually waited 20 minutes, and the tour guide both messaged her on the app and called her before we ended up leaving without. So it does seem that Amigo Tours does do that, just not for when we were late to the adjusted pick up time. It seemed quite unethical - and being a customer service based tour company I would have expected something more from them since they do have quite high reviews. I recommend caution booking with Amigo Tours. They'll change the pick up time, and then not really have any accountability to it and just take your money. There are many other tour companies out there - use another one.
