Celebrating New Years in the Best Way - This was the highlight of my vacation. It was a very long day from 7a-8:30p but totally worth it!!! The crew I had was Carlos, Amado and Alex and if there is any trouble with translation they have you covered. English, Spanish, French it was all taken care of. As amazing as it was to see Chichen Itza, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the stop at Selva Maya. Breathtaking! The tequila there was also delicious. Upon arriving back at my hotel, after being reminded multiple times on the bus to make sure you have everything, I realized I left my cell phone on the bus. My flight home was a day later and I was scrambling trying to find out what I could do. The following morning I woke up early to try and catch the bus to see if they had it and Carlos was a life saver by locating my device and getting me my phone back within a few hours! A truly remarkable experience beginning to end and a delightful staff throughout. Thank you soo much for this unforgettable experience. 10/10

Best All Day Trip with the Best Guides! - Our experience with the Cerio (driver), Josue (tour guide) and Eduardo (university student!) was absolutely amazing! The hospitality, and knowledge was above and beyond, they are a MUST request group for guaranteed entertaining and enjoyable day trip! This is ALL DAY with 5 stops, we had such a great time but I know that’s not for everyone!
- Great for: Kids, Families, Young Adults
- Wouldn’t recommend for those who need a wheelchair or have trouble with mobility
- For 2 people, make sure to bring about $1500 pesos (in case you need to pay the taxes!) and/or $55 dollars for tipping/spending money
We were picked up right on time at 7 am at our hotel, and made a few additional stops to pick up several other families and travelers. By 8:25, we were on our way to Chichén Itzá! At this time, we’re provided snack bags with a small sandwich, granola bar, fruit and juice. I will preface that these tour companies fuel the surrounding economy - while he recommends to purchase specific souvenirs - you don’t have to! It’s just an option. You’ll spend roughly 40-45 minutes at a souvenir shop, he will hand you name tags (the name tags you wear all day so you don’t get lost!) - go to the bathroom, walk around and look around.
There was some traffic heading into Chichen Itza so it took a little longer to get inside with the many other buses and tourists - once we were inside Josue led us on an hour long guided tour where he shared lots of history and lots of knowledge (no BS) and left an hour for ourselves to explore. I recommend you take photos during the guided tour so you can fully enjoy the sites!
After that we returned to the same souvenir site since it’s attached directly to the restaurant you’ll be enjoying lunch at! Food was great, they have Mexican dishes but they also have a few American dishes for the little ones. There are performances! Enjoy them with an open mind! Again - these are traditional performances by performers! This is their livelihood! We get an hour for lunch and then back on the bus - enjoy it and take a quick nap because you’ve got another stop!
I highly highly recommend wearing your swimwear under your clothes from the start so when you get to the cenote you’ve got plenty of time to enjoy! This is about an hour, life jackets are provided - lockers are $5. An hour was more than enough time for us to get in, get out and change - not swimming? There’s a bar, music and more food to enjoy.
From there we went to our final stop which was Valladolid! We only had 20 minutes but we quickly walked through the beautiful church and walked through the park where everyone was also enjoying some churros and hopped right on the bus!
All in all was an extremely successful day where we were taken care of from pick-up to drop-off from beverages, lunch, sites and even Josues jokes kept us entertained and happy we chose Cancún Passion and were lucky to have had this trio with us for the day!

Life Changing - I can't remember if it was the delux option or not. Breakfast options aren't recommended. I did enjoy so much the tour provided. The guide who took us thru Chichen Itza had so much knowledge and little time to give us all the info we wanted. He was very passionate. Everyone was helpful when it came to help communicating with the locals. I almost wish that we skipped the cenote and had more time to explore either chichen itza or explore the city we visited.

Carlos best guide in French - A wonderful day full of beautiful activities. Our guide Carlos was really exceptional: very friendly, he has perfect command of French and knows in depth the history of Maya and Chichen Itza, which he explains with great clarity and passion. I recommend this excursion without hesitation, a real favorite!
Small downside though: the program is very busy, which leaves little time to fully enjoy each visit.

Something for everyone, worth every penny! - Absolutely loved our day with our tour guides. We had Albeto and Noah as our informational guides and they did a great job helping us learn about the Mayan culture with lots of jokes along the way. Our quality manager Phillipe was also very accommodating and making sure we had lots of cold drinks. And our driver Freddie did a great job getting us to and from our destinations. Would highly recommend.

Big Beto! - The guides were very good... Noe, Felipe and above all Beto... taught us many new things about Chichen Itza. We learned the Mayan numbers and many jokes some good and others not so much.

Definitely one to avoid - Playa del Carmen pick-up location was misdescribed, with an incorrect photo of the place as being in front of a shop that didn’t exist. I would have missed the trip had I not checked out the location the day before. The shop had been a pharmacy for years! Emails confirmed that the operator had no clue, but “it must be right”.
I was collected by van, then had to board a coach that went south to Tulum to collect others and back up north where I left in PdC, adding hours of travel unnecessarily.
Cenote Il Kil never happened, although it was in the tour description. Instead, we went to Saamal, which I had discounted from other tours due to it being better suited to loud groups of diving enthusiasts.
Not enough time allocated for the cenote, but plenty of time to walk around the ‘Mayan Village’ - a tourist trap that is basically lots of vendors trying to sell you overpriced tat.
I had asked if the taxes due on the day could be paid by card and I was told yes, confirmed by email. But when it was time to pay, the tour guide Felipe insisted on cash as “there’s no card machine on the bus”, then proceeded to charge me extra in pesos.
The main guide Carlos offered some interesting facts, when you could understand him - he spoke fast ‘English’, with incoherent personal bits thrown in for good measures, and with a weird americanised accent that made it difficult to comprehend what he was saying (e.g. “youze” instead of U.S. or U.S.A.).
Asking for tips at the end of a long and exhausting day was ridiculous.
