Chichen Itza - A certified professional guide offers an in-depth historical insight into one of the New7Wonders of the World. Upon arrival at Chichen Itza, proceed directly to the Kukulkan Pyramid (El Castillo) — the highlight of this UNESCO-listed site — to take photos and learn about the serpentine shadow cast on the pyramid during equinoxes. Explore architectural marvels such as the Great Ball Court, the Temple of Warriors, and more.
Cenote Ik Kil - After a warm walk, travel to the renowned natural Cenote of Ik Kil, where you can cool off by swimming in its pristine, refreshing waters.
Merida - Visit the most significant city on the peninsula, its capital, Merida. This colonial city, home to nearly a million residents and located away from the tourist zones, reflects the Spanish era in Mexico’s history. Stroll along the beautiful Montejo Street, lined with colonial houses of wealthy conquistadors, and visit the main square and cathedral. After checking in at one of Merida’s central hotels, enjoy an evening exploring this authentic colonial Mexican city.
Uxmal - Cacao Museum - Yaxcopoil - Izamal
Zona Arqueologica Uxmal - The second day begins with breakfast at the hotel followed by a visit to the Uxmal archaeological site, where two twin pyramids, the city’s guardians, greet you at the entrance. In Uxmal, climb the Pyramid of the Magician, known for its unique structure in Mayan architecture, and visit the Nunnery Quadrangle, the Governor’s Palace, and the Temple of the Turtles.
Choco Story Uxmal - The next stop is the cacao museum, where you will learn about the history of this delightful drink and participate in an ancient ritual of its preparation. Of course, you will also taste cacao prepared in the traditional way for emperors.
Hacienda Yaxcopoil - Next, explore a small Mexican village centered around an ancient, enigmatic Spanish estate called Yaxcopoil. Yaxcopoil means “a place of rustling elm trees,” named for the abundance of elm trees there. Walk around the estate and discover its history and the lifestyle of its former inhabitants.
Izamal - The final destination in the program is a visit to the Yellow Small Town of Izamal. This enchanting and unique town will captivate everyone. Visit the museum of the old monastery, built by the Spaniards on the ruins of a pyramid, and enjoy a city tour in a horse-drawn carriage, observing the colonial buildings and ancient pyramids preserved in the city center.
