Well worth it! - The bus is super cool, very comfortable and the driver was awesome. We learned quite a bit about the history of Chicago and about prohibition. We liked the variety of different beers that were offered. The tour was well planned and we thouroughly enjoyed ourselves. I was super impressed with Forbidden Root and the flavors they could create with botanicals and herbs. A suggestion to make it even better would be if we could have sampled beers we wanted to sample as opposed to beers that were pre-chosen for us. I had to be super careful with a gluten sensitivity, I would have loved cider options as I am unable to enjoy beer as much as the others. I came on this tour more for my husband as he does love his beer, the darker the better.

Fun family outing! - Ted the guide was fabulous. We had a good mix of Chicago breweries to try. Plenty of time at each and a nice size group of 13 total. Highly recommend this tour!

Chill Vibes and Cold Brews - The Barrel Run tour in Chicago was a total blast!
Hitting up three local breweries was such a fun way to dive into the city’s beer scene. Our guide was super cool—friendly, full of energy, and knew a ton about the breweries and how the beer’s made, which made every stop way more interesting.
The whole thing felt really safe, with a comfy van and a driver who had everything under control.
The tour was planned out just right, with enough time to chill at each brewery without any rush.
For what you pay, it’s honestly a steal—awesome beer, great vibes, and a killer experience. Plus, the stops were easy to get around, and it felt like everyone was welcome.
I met some really cool people along the way, and it was definitely a highlight of my trip.
Can’t recommend The Barrel Run enough if you’re in Chicago!

Discovering Chicago - We had an incredible time exploring new breweries that we would never have discovered on our own. Our driver, Ted, shared fascinating stories along the way, and we had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful people.

Great experience and highly recommend! - I arranged the Prohibition Tour with an extra brewery stop for a work "team-building" activity and it was perfect! David and his team were easy to work with to schedule and the tour itself was a huge success. I think it will be talked about for a long time. I highly recommend giving one of their tours a try for any type of get together, personal or professional. The Barrel Run was very flexible and can accommodate your needs.

Do this tour - beer awaits! - Had a great afternoon visiting some Chicago breweries that I otherwise wouldn't have got to, and enjoyed a brewery tour and some very tasty beers.
Our guide/driver Ted was very welcoming, entertaining and did a fantastic job looking after everyone. He gave us some interesting stories about Chicago along the way. By the end of the tour everyone was very jolly, and it was a nice experience, even as a solo traveler. Would definitely recommend!

Great day - Fun trip other than the traffic. We met a lot of really nice people from all over the country. Beer selections were plentiful and unique. I would definitely recommend if you get the pretzel get extra cheese!
