The tour and tasting at FEW was amazing! The tour was lead by an awesome, very knowledgeable young lady. She answered all our questions and never made us feel rushed. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about or should I say the difference between bourbon, whiskey and even gin :)
A fun and knowledgeable guide leads the tour. What a great way to learn about the distilling process, also a little Evanston history, and get to taste multiple different spirits. Thanks!
Our guide was animated and fun. She did a great job making the basic elements of distilling accessible while also sharing some of the unique quirks that makes FEW a standout operation.
It was fun, informative and efficiently done.
Fun tour and tasting experience. Our "spirit guide" was knowledgeable and vary personable. Good times!
My boyfriend and I had a great time going behind-the-scenes in the distillery and seeing everything up-close. The tasting was also great! Our guide, Catherine, was very informative and fun. $10 for the tour and 7 tastings was a steal!
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Absolutely loved the tour and will recommend to others. Along with your products!
We enjoyed the tour and tasting but it would have been even better if distilling were actually happening at the time we were there.
Loved the tour and the history behind the distillery. The product is great too!
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and fun! She talked about history, as well as science, and was overall a really great guide. Loved the place, loved the booze, was a great tour for a resident or visitor alike!
The tour guide was very engaging and knew a lot of history. The tasting pours after the tour were extremely generous. All in all a fun and informative time! Well worth the $10!
Fans would be nice.
Fun, unique experience that was informative and entertaining. Hearing the story behind the products enriched the flavors.
The staff were very kind and knowledgeable. It was a bit hot but great nonetheless.
Felt price was appropriate for the time and number of tastings. we had a small group of 10 total on the tour and that was a good size not sure if I would have enjoyed it if the tour was full.
Friendly staff and awesome whiskey
Very knowledgeable and nice tour guide. And the products are amazing!

There was a group of four of us and we had a great time! The tour hostess was very engaging and knowledgeable. She really made us feel like she was glad we were there. I feel we really got a good overview of the distilling process and how FEW does things. The samples were great, too.
The only thing that stopped us from a "Very Satisfied" rating was the fact it was a super hot day and they had no air conditioner!! Our tour guide, Katherine, was outstanding!! She was charming, fun and very knowledgeable. The spirits themselves were top notch and we made a purchase. Again, a bit of A/C and some type of freebie would have made it a perfect visit.
Since we were the only two tour participants, Katherine tailored the tour and tasting to our questions and interests. She was knowledgeable of the process used to product FEW Spirits, and ready to answer any questions and provide more information on items that were of special interest to us. It was a personal tour!
Good comprehensive tour with no unnecessary filler and a generous tasting of the full range of spirits. The tasting room manager is very personable and quick to accommodate customer requests. Overall, it was a very good experience with the right balance between informative and entertaining.
The hostess was superb squared. And so is the hootch.
Interesting, casual, fun place to take out of town guests
very fun. Tasty spirits. Kathrine (Kathryn?) was a hoot.
a fun way to spend an hour, learn about Evanston's history and learn about whiskey and gin!
I thought the tour was informative and interesting. It's a small distillery, so there's not much to see, but the young lady did a great job keeping everyone entertained. She was very knowledgeable about what you guys are producing and how you're doing it. I have two recommendations, which may or may not be feasible for you guys. First, I'd recommend a separate glencairn glass for the gins and whiskeys. The botanicals in the gin linger, even with a water rinse, and I could taste the juniper in the whiskey. Also, starting with bourbon and then rye before coming back to your single malt really takes all the taste away from the single malt. Your single malt is the most delicate flavor you have, so it should be the first sample. The rye is the strongest, so it should be last. By the time I got to the single malt, all I tasted was the rye. Other than that, it was a great time. Cheers.
The tour was both fun and informative. The spirits were delicious. We so enjoyed them that we bought a bottle and will buy more.
The tour guide was personable and knowledgeable, answering questions about the products and the company. I enjoyed viewing the production area and finishing with the tastings of all of the products. This tour makes it easy for me to want to continue to support this local company and their delicious gins and whiskeys!
Four of us showed up in the alley outside FEW on a Thursday night. Two other tourists showed up later. They have a nice little bar area for the tasting. The young woman who gave the tour helped us have a good time and was knowledgeable. Not a fan of gin, but the whiskey was all good. I was surprised to enjoy the rye the most. Well worth the price of admission.
