We had an amazing tour guide! Thanks so much for such an informative and fun afternoon!
Our guide knew his stuff about the history and was well versed with the distillery process and tasting the various liquors. Some people asked some crazy questions that I'm didn't think were really relevant, but he was able to get them answered by other staff members there. Overall loved your distillery and the tour. We did not feel rushed, even tho it was a good sized group. Would love to see your rickhouses, or at least pictures of them given that we have toured a number of bourbon distilleries in Kentucky and High West in Park City, Utah. Good work!!!
I have been on many brewery tours, this was my first distillery tour. I took my Fiancee and we both had a blast and learned a lot. Bailey, our guide, was very enthusiastic, informed, and we'll versed in her delivery. Getting to try everything was great, and she even offered us an extra pour of our favorite after the tasting. My favorite part was tasting the "tails" fresh From the still. Nice touch, FEW!
The tour was informative. The tasting sizes were generous. Bailey was an outstanding hostess.
Great experience! The presenter was super clear and it was a lot of fun!
Bailey was sweet and knowledgable and made the tour interesting and accessible. Love all the Chicago references in labeling and the historic aspect of the name. A wonderful time was had by all
The only thing better than the spirits was our guide! Thanks for such a good experience!
Just think there should be snacks or something to cleanse your pallet and help curb te drunkness
I enjoyed hearing about the history of the distillery and the process of distilling spirits. It was also nice to get to taste all of their current spirits, even the limited edition release of the season.
FEW Spirits provides a good distillery tour and tasting. Because it is a small operation, there are a number of stages in the process that you cannot see on this site--the grain arrives milled and the whisky is aged and bottled at another location. In addition, the closed fermenters lack some magic. Having said this, Katherine is a knowledgable and informative guide. It was great to learn about gin production and taste the unique attributes of whisky aged in smaller barrels.
Woman who led was great. Would have loved if the tour portion was slower and went in more depth and background especially for us newbies.
I realize that you cannot température control the space, but it would be nice if the drinks were either chilled or had the option to be on ice. We put most of our liquor in the middle "throw-away" bottle just because it was too hot to be drinking warm, straight spirits. This was unfortunate because, since the distillery is so small, a lot of the money for the tour I felt was wasted. And, I drink FEW often and was really looking forward to truly tasting the spirits I had never tried from the distillery. We really loved the space, though, and our guide was very knowledgeable and just a cool person all around. We also really liked the whole mentality of FEW.
The girl who led the tour from CA was awesome!
Disappointed to discover bottles can be bought cheaper at Binny's than direct (single malt at Binny's is $60). Otherwise tour was fantastic, guide was really great at answering all our questions!
Good overall tour of the facility with decent tasting pours.
It was a nice tour.
It's a nice place but hard to find! The guide was very knowledgeable! I took my gin-loving husband for his birthday. We loved the tour but my husband is not a fan of rye, so that diminished the tasting experience.
Always a fun tour and good booze.
The actual tour and and tasting was great. However, we were late because we couldn't find the entrance, which was really frustrating. Maybe give more detailed directions when tickets are purchased.
A nice beginner's tour of an up and coming distillery that provides excellent insight into their spirits.
it was an awesome tour. your new girl at the front is exceptional.
Fun and informative - and we got to taste 3 gins and 5 whiskeys. There was a large amount of time to taste, and enjoy.
I love FEW Rye, so it was a lot of fun to visit FEW Distillery and to see for myself how passion creates this world-leading whiskey, while discovering its worthy relatives (Gins, Bourbon and Malt). Congratulations to the friendly crew at FEW for their great work.
Katherine was great - giving us information about Evanston and the prohibition movement, and how that tied into the naming of the company. We got the opportunity to see the behind the scenes, with visual and olfactory experiences. We all enjoyed it, found a product we liked and came away with knowledge of a distillery none of us knew before.
Great tour guide! Smart, easy to listen to, funny and the tasting was nice and not too long. We even bought some Barrel Gin and Whiskey at the end. Success. Thanks.
Great tour. Very informative. Liked Katherine a lot. Good selection of whiskey & gin. Would recommend this tour & tasting.
The tour guide was very informative and made the experience wonderful
Very interesting. Our guide did a bang-up job.
Very informative and entertaining presentation.
The tour and tasting were great. The lack of cleanliness of the inside of the building detracted a bit from the tour however. Things at eye level and lower seemed fine, but looking up, there was a lot of dust and dirt on top of pipes, rafters, and shelves, both in the distilling area and in the tasting/retail space.
The tour was informative, educational and enjoyable. The tour guide was passionate and humorous. And the tasting was excellent. Overall great time. Cheers.
