We had a wonderful time! Perfect weather, and a perfect size for our paddle group. Highly recommend!
We had an awsome time on the Chicago river! The views are stunning! The guides are great! Highly recommand it!
Was great time in Chicago!!
It was a great fun experience.
Nice tour guides and really beautiful sights. Definitely a 10 out of 10.
The guides were very helpful and funny! Enjoyable trip
One guide stopped us and taught me and my friend how to successfully kayak across the river. They save you when you take a wrong turn! Great experience.
Very organized. For as many people there were, it was incredible! Beautifully done, great sights, just very happy!
Great guides, wonderful experience.
Nice folk. Well organized.
Instructors were lively and entertaining. We had a great time!
Our group started with 24 and for whatever reason when we got closer to the city we waited for the second group that left after us and combined to one group. Felt like 50 some kayaks together was way too many. Especially downtown with as much boat "traffic" that goes through there. Also, there was couple times where we sat as a group for an extended period, with no communication as to why, instead of kayaking. This is my second time kayaking with Kayak Chicago and really did enjoy it, will recommend to all those that ask and will hopefully again sometime soon do another tour.
Our guides were professional and knowledgeable. We felt safe and had a lot of fun. Thanks Wes, Westie, and Jess!
great guides, beautiful sights, perfect weather
The instructors were extremely help from the very beginning. I didn't know how to use the lockers yet they were very understanding. They provided great guidance and made the tour an amazing time. It was a first time for out group kayaking and night kayaking. Will definitely be coming back.
The guide was excellent and knowledgeable. The equipment all worked well and the tour itself was lovely. But there was a fair amount of waiting around. We were told to be there at 6:45 for a 7pm tour and then we didn't get organized into the kayaks until very close to 7:30 following the first group out. That is simply too long to hang out. The process of getting the kayaks into the water was not well organized. I am a 5 ft 1", 60 year old lady and they set me up to carry the back of a double kayak and the front of a single one. I do not have that strength.
Nice time, fun guided, great experience!
It was great at the beginning, but towards the end, the staff stopped engaging us. They just let us paddle back. Minus that, everything was great! Staff were professional and equipment worked great!
Very well organized and everything went smoothly! Friendly staff and beautiful views of the city at night
The instructors were immensely delightful to be around and although it was strenuous work, they made the tour seem more peaceful and easy than it would have seemed without them.
Paddling on the river to downtown area was great but the way back was really hard due to weather conditions. There was a lot of wind and the area wasn't specially nice. It would have been a better experience if they would have driven us back to the beginning.
It was a gorgeous adventure on the Chicago River at night. Certainly, a perspective of the City that one does not get to experience any other way.
The guides were fun, helpful and were great about communicating when other vessels were on the water, how we would proceed and when we should just chill and take it all in. I'd love to do it all again.
I had fun!
Great instructors. Well managed. Safety was always a priority from the staff made the whole experience worth it
More safely and beautiful view and worker did good job
The paddle felt very rushed. There was not enough time for looking around and admiring the city.
I think that there should be a few stops for photo ops. It seemed like our guide was hurrying us along the whole time. Also, better lighting when getting instructions at start- so you can actually see what they are instructing you to do. Probably not an issue when it stays light out later, but later in the summer it was too dark at 8 or so see. I was a lot of fun and I would do it again, although not on the Chicago river. I'm glad it was dark so I couldn't see all the garbage.
The groups were way too large and this caused a lot of kayak bumping/ crashing. It made it a bit more difficult to kayak. Smaller groups would make the experience more enjoyable.
