- Wat Phra That Hariphunchai - Your first stop is Wat Phra That Hariphunchai, the most esteemed temple in the province. This Royal Temple, constructed in 897 by a Lamphun king, is celebrated for its impressive 51-meter golden pagoda, which houses a genuine Buddha relic brought from India. Within the temple grounds, you’ll also discover a sacred Buddha footprint, a beautifully crafted teakwood library containing ancient Pali scriptures, an old Lanna-style chedi, and one of Thailand’s largest call-to-prayer gongs.
