Happy to have had this experience - What a fun experience!! The visit to the market was exceptional, informative and fun. You have the choice of dishes you wish to prepare and the amount of spice (chilies) you can tolerate. The instructor/chef made the class fun. Come with a big appetite!

Book This Class! - This was so much fun!! Our beautiful guide Niti greeted us off the bus and we all went for an educational market excursion to Chiang Mai Gate fresh food Market. We learned all about the vegetables we would be using in our class. Next we went back to learn how to make 11 amazing dishes. Our teacher Niti is very funny with stellar teaching skills. It made for a great experience. Don't eat breakfast because you are in for a culinary feast!

Absolutely Incredible! - There are many cooking classes available in Chiang Mai. I chose this one because of the numerous online five-star reviews. It did NOT disappoint! The day began with an educational walk-through tour of the South Gate morning fresh market. Many Thai ingredients were completely foreign to me and it was very helpful to be led through the market, tasting the produce as we went with a description of their uses. Following the tour, we headed to the cooking school. The venue is absolutely beautiful and it was the most professionally run and efficient cooking class I’ve ever attended. We cooked eleven (11!) different Thai dishes. After we cooked each course, we enjoyed the fruits of our labors before moving to the next course. The cost of the class, with all of the food included was absolutely amazing. I don’t remember exactly how many cooking stations there were but I’m guessing it was between 16-20. The stations were in two rows facing each other with an aisle down the middle for the instructor. Each station was fully equipped with all of the necessary cooking and serving equipment and pantry items. The staff were very nice and helpful. Our instructor was very entertaining and she made the day enjoyable as well as entertaining. Everyone should include this in their Chiang Mai experience. It is not to be missed!

Thai Akha Kitchen - A Perfect Experience - The Thai Akha Kitchen was a perfect culinary experience. Niti was an exceptionally great instructor, her facility, staff and manner were spot on, inciteful, comforting and humorous. We shared her link to numerous fellow travelers. Home now and using her cookbook and rediscovering the sensory pleasure of the processes and the results of what we learned in her class.

5 hr Dopamine Hit - Our guide, Niti, was so funny and knowledgeable. The whole experience was a 5 hour dopamine hit! The market was so cool to see and learn about the ingredients, the kitchen and cooking environment was really great, and the food we made was outstanding. I can’t recommend this class and Niti more. I came by myself and wished the whole time that my husband was able to experience it with me. Thank you!

Thai food and culture immersion - Amazing thai immersion led by an enthusiastic representative of the culture. Pacing and portions allowed for a smooth experience. The day was over before we knew it despite the long duration. 1 of the best parts was the tour through the local morning market to pick up supplies for the dishes we made during the class. Take on the spice peer pressure and challenge your mouth and gut to the thai level!
