Full day tour - Great day... especially visiting the elephant sanctuary.............................................

We had a great day on... - We had a great day on this trip! We didn’t have much of a sense of direction, but the driver helped us pick out activities that were fitting for us. The car was brand new and extremely clean the Driver accommodated everything that we wanted to do and stop when we wanted to eat and shop etc.

Excellent and fun trip with a kind, friendly and funny driver. - My parents and I had a great full day trip with our driver Anan. He was very knowledgeable about the local history of Chiang Mai and the various temples nearby. The car is very clean and comfortable and we traveled at our own pace. We felt comfortable and at no point did we feel rushed. We visited many points of interest around Chiang Mai. Anan recommended a place for lunch and it had delicious food. He kept us entertained throughout our experience and was very caring towards my elderly parents. We will definitely be back and i highly recommend booking this experience.

Fantastic option for a private tour! Book it! - We hired an English speaking driver with a private car from this operator with some reservation - it ended up being a truly wonderful experience and money very well spent. After spending hours looking through Viator, Klook and GYG listings I decided to go with this option because we wanted to customise a tour of all the places we really wanted to see, at a comfortable pace. This was definitely the right decision. After walking around the Chiang Mai town centre temples the previous day, my itinerary for this private tour needed someone to drive us around the province and outskirts of the city. Our tour included a Chiang Mai hotel pick-up, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (amazing!), Wat Pha Lat (missable), lunch at Dantewada Café (also amazing!), Sticky Waterfalls (definitely worthwhile), Coffee/snack at a cool place chosen by the driver, and then finally Wat Phra That Doi Kham (really gobsmacking theme park sized temple complex) and finally Mueang Kaen (Wat Ban Den). To start with, the driver Otto was always punctual, professional, and patient. He was very considerate to our needs and requests. More importantly, he was also always safe (this is a genuine worry for us - especially when hiring a private driver or a long distance taxi) and always made us feel at ease and comfortable. He shared many insights about the sites we were visiting and about life in Thailand generally… He was genuinely a delight to be around. At the end of that day tour, he casually asked us what we were doing over the following few days and asked about the places we intended to visit during our tour of Thailand generally… we told him we’d booked a private car and driver in Chiang Rai for following 2-3 days… Without putting any pressure on us, he offered to be our driver for that trip too.. we didn’t mention how much we were going to be charged for the coming 2 day tour in Chiang Rai - he asked us to give him our itinerary - he had a look at it then gave us a price that was extremely competitive (we were clearly about to be ripped off by other operators on GYG and Viator) so we ended up cancelling our other Chiang Rai tours and agreed to do our itinerary with Otto. For the following 3 days Otto continued to drive us everywhere we wanted to go to. Firstly he drove us from our hotel in Chiang Mai to our hotel in Chiang Rai (stopping over at any places we wanted to see on the way). Then over the following 2 days, he drove us to 14 attractions on our itinerary, in and around Chiang Rai (including the golden triangle). We had an amazing time and saw everything we wanted to see and more. Otto’s restaurant recommendations for lunches were also spot on! It really felt like we were travelling around with a local friend… he was always in good humour, considerate, reliable and very respectful. I cannot emphasise how wonderful this experience was overall and how convenient this trip was made for us. I would definitely advise anyone reading this to book without hesitation. Definitely ask for OTTO as your driver! (FYI: He’s the chap in the photo for this listing! )

Highly recommended full day car and driver hire to tour Chiang Mai. - We had a relax, and enjoyable diy touring experience in Chiang Mai with the help of our excellent, safe, and very good driver- Arrin. He helped us plan a more efficient tour destination and avoided getting stuck in traffic and crowded places due to their long weekend holiday. We were able to see sites we wanted to see on our own pace. Arrin, was easy going, polite, safe driver, and funny- we had lively conversations during our trip. Highly recommended for full day car and driver hire in Chiang Mai.

A relax and immersive diy tour of Chiang Mai with private car/driver i - Shout out to Arrin, our car hire English speaking driver . Arrin was a safe and a courteous driver, he's funny, easy going/flexible, and we had a lively conversation during the ride. He is knowledgeable of current crowd and traffic situation and was able to stir clear of them by recommending alternatives to our itineraries. A perfect day in Chiang Mai - Mr. Otto was fantastic. A day tour of Chiang Mai with him was the highlight of our trip. He helped us plan out the locations we wanted to visit- perfectly. Highly recommended.

We had such a lovely day.... - We had such a lovely day. Our driver Phap was super accommodating!!! The car was super comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

We booked a private... - We booked a private driver for 9 hours and shared a list of places we wanted to visit, while also mentioning that we were open to suggestions. He suggested visiting an elephant sanctuary, but we explained that we already had one booked later in our trip and were unable to change it. Our driver was very nice and did take us to a lovely Thai buffet and a butterfly farm, both of which were his suggestions and enjoyable. However, many of the other stops suggested throughout the day were tourist-focused shops or experience stores that were not of interest to us. At one stop, when we chose not to go inside, we were encouraged to take a look anyway. In the end, we were only taken to one of the locations from the list we originally provided, which was less than expected given the time booked. Overall, the itinerary did not fully align with what we had discussed in advance. If booking, I recommend you have a strict itinerary going into it.
