Great experience if you've got the time - 2 days going from Chiang Khong to Luang Prabang passed far more quickly than I expected. Our guide and the rest of the crew on the boat were lovely and the food cooked on-board was delicious. You get time to chat to others on board, take in the scenery, or just chill out and relax. The boat is large enough that it wasn't at all cramped and you could have your own space when you felt like it. The stops along the way were great too. There's a lot of tours in Luang Prabang to the same spots, so seeing them on the way is great, rather than spending a day backtracking. Would thoroughly recommend if you've got the time.

Book it! - Fantastic. Spend the money and book this tour. So easy from start to finish. So well organised. Pick up, drop offs immigration etc. guided through each stage. The boat was so comfortable. Beautifully decorated - exactly how you see in the photos. The boat was only half full so everyone could spread out. Loads of space. It was lovely to see all the kids of different nationalities playing together. We stayed at the sanctuary lodge Pakbeng. Really recommend this too. Food, drinks, toilets excellent. Our guide La was great fun. What an experience down the Mekong and I think value for money.

CRUISE with Nagi of Mekong! - AWESOME: Organized, friendly/knowledgable guide (Bounsou), delicious food and $100 cheaper than two others cruises I considered. HIGHLY recommend - hope to return with wife or a son in 2027! Definitely a highlight of my two weeks in Thailand/Laos. PS Not a solicited review.

Well organised, comfortable and leisurely cruise down the Mekong - A great experience, well organised, good quality boat with very good food, and a number of stops included to visit a local village, plus the 'whisky village' and caves. There were 20 people on our boat, with plenty of room and a number of comfortable loungers to rest on, plus tables with bench seats. Our guide was excellent, informative and helpful. My wife & I joined this trip on a 'boat only basis' having sorted our accommodation (the Sanctuary) and visa independently. We were collected from our hotel in Chiang Khong bang on time, taken across the bridge and guided through the Laos entry process very smoothly. The boat is pretty much the same size & shape as the public boats but with more comfort, fewer people, good food included and a number of organised stops. I felt it was definitely worth paying the higher fee

A 2-day sanctuary! - The 2 day river cruise was enjoyable from start to finish. Our guide and boat crew were very hospitable - food and refreshments were constantly available. Our guide was informative of the local villages we stopped at along the river and took care of our transfers to and from the hotels and boat. The whole experience was so relaxing - I would definitely recommend!

We travelled during high... - We travelled during high season so the boat was quite full nevertheless it was a very pleasant trip, helpful and friendly staff and such a perfectly relaxing way to while away 2 days of travelling. If I had to give a suggestion to Viator - specify whether you’re part of the package or not as it wasn’t clear if we had any accommodation in Pakbeng
