Quirky and fun for the family - Thought this was a quirky and interesting way to spend an hour with my children. They enjoyed the immersive element on the museum. Happy opening cupboard doors to read facts. We also enjoyed the photo opportunities. The staff were lovely too. We couldn't leave without purchasing a plague doctor duck from the gift shop. Would definitely go again in future.

Great balance of fun and education - We went as a family, our two children are 10 and 12. It was a great mix of fun and education. It took around an hour to get around but could have been longer if I was allowed to read every single thing haha.
Self guided so could go at our own pace taking things in or skipping to the fun parts as the kids did.
Would highly recommend and great value for money.

Spooky, fun, facts, very visual great for kids 8+ - I took my little girl, she has been asking to go for months (we had been when she was a lot younger but this was the perfect age - she's 8. Could read all the fact. loved al the live works and interactive visuals. Loved she could touch things, open doors, smell (albeit gross - purposefully!). We had a great time at Sick to Death and its a great way to learn about illnesses and history of it all. High recommend!!

Really interesting. - This was so interesting. Normally our teenagers find a lot of museums "Boring" but this kept everyone entertained! Really interesting - a bit gross in some areas but we actually learnt loads at the same time. It's not every day you get to pick up a heart and examine it! Really friendly staff too. It's not a massive museum but it is very well set out.

Gory but informative - Ineractive, quite gory and really interesting. My only criticism, not enough staff to control rowdy and disturbing children who were running riot, not being controlled by their parents/guardians. Did ruin it a bit

Needs a rethink - The organisers of this attraction have seriously missed a trick. If you look at the success of "dungeon" locations around the country, this could be so much better. The lack of human interaction whilst viewing the exhibits , although informative turns it very quickly into a boring " is this it". The broken or missing torches are careless oversights. Several exhibits were in need of repair. In the end it was a case of a less than an hour and £16 wasted. Shame...Good idea, poor execution.

A lot of reading - The best part of this experience is the leeches on the counter when you walk in. The staff were friendly and really enthusiastic however the actual experience itself is quite boring. It starts off well but then just turns into just reading. Everything that is interesting you would have seen posted on socials. It’s such a shame as it does have potential. You can do it in maximum half an hour and wrap up warm as it’s very cold in there.

Don't waste your money! - This is soooooooooo bad . Dirty and half of the equipment is missing . At the beginning u need a black light touch where they should be well they where missing.
2nd part was just alot of reading and a tatty interaction game kind of made for kids. It does have a touch screen quiz but again ... not very good
3rd part . What is the point 🤦 lot of reading again amd just no point to it .
The surgeon/ surgery part was ok .. the headphones did not work or if they did was that quite I needed an hearing aids 😅...
Shall we call it the toilet section boring reading again .
The last half was just random. Dirty and really not well looked after at all
. For £8 a person. OK maybe . But they could do so much more with and make it more exciting. Just mwha ... good photo ops .. but do u really want to touch the props ..
Gift shop is bad as well .. could be so good
All in all don't bother

Interesting concept, abysmal experience - We arrived at the museum full of hope to discover more about the plague and its impact on those living in the 17th century… however, we were met with dim lighting, poor decorations, awful execution, and overall the experience lacked the immersive element we usually look for from museums of this nature.
If we were asked to describe the museum in one word, it would definitely have to be BORING!
One thing we didn’t anticipate from the museum was how dirty the whole place felt. We appreciate that the whole thing was splattered in fake Halloween blood, but despite this, the whole thing seemed to not have been cleaned in over a year, touching the interactive activities made us feel like we could catch a modern version of the plague ourselves (COVID-19 came to mind). Safe to say we thoroughly sanitised our hands once exiting the premises. Even their one time offer of hand sanitiser appeared to need a good deep clean itself.
One part we probably learnt the most from was the “mature section”, which I have to say was not well labeled enough considering most people visiting would be children and seeing this section would not have been appropriate for anyone aged below 12. The main reason we learnt the most from this very small section of the museum is because you could actually clearly read the writing without squinting or needing a flash light for the other poorly lit sections.
If you have seen this advertised online, or like us were mislead by the multitude of positive reviews, we recommend saving your money and going to the Tesco across the road, you’re more likely to have a more fun time there.
