Chengdu to Xian by High-Speed Train

Chengdu - At 07:00 in the morning, your driver in Chengdu will meet you in the hotel lobby and transfer you to Chengdu Dong Station for the train D1918 (09:00-12:25) or a similar service to Xian. Please disembark at Xian North Train Station. Your local guide in Xian will welcome you at the Passenger Service Center, holding a sign with your name.

Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - You will then be driven to visit the Xian Ancient City Wall, the most well-preserved and largest city wall in China. Constructed for military defense during the Ming Dynasty about 650 years ago, you can optionally rent a bike to ride along the wall at your own expense.

Muslim Quarter - Walk through the intriguing underpass to reach Drum Tower Square in 5 minutes. Your guide will share some basic facts about this historic city and its must-see attractions along the way. Soon, you’ll arrive at the grand Drum Tower, which has stood for over 600 years. Behind it lies the bustling Muslim Quarter, always lively from morning to night. You’ll be captivated by the variety of stalls and entertained by the vendors’ lively calls. Follow your guide through the crowds and discover the hidden stories behind the local snacks.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta) - Later, visit another iconic landmark of Xi’an - the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Standing approximately 65 meters tall, the pagoda was built in 652 during the Tang Dynasty to house Buddhist scriptures brought back by Xuanzang from India.

Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City - Afterwards, head to the Grand Tang Dynasty Ever-bright City, located next to the Great Wild Goose Pagoda. Walking among the Tang Dynasty-style architecture feels like a journey through time.

Visit Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, Return to Chengdu by High-Speed Train

The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - In the morning, your guide and driver will take you to visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, about a 1.5-hour drive away. Known as “the Eighth Wonder of the World,” the museum showcases an impressive level of sculpture. Located 30 km east of Xi’an City, the original site was discovered by four local farmers drilling a well in 1974. It has since become one of China’s most important attractions and the top site in Xi’an. The museum includes Pit 1 (the largest), Pit 2, Pit 3, and the exhibition hall of the chariots and horses.

Xi’an - After a lunch break, you will be escorted back to the train station for the train D1941 (15:20-19:27) or a similar service back to Chengdu.

Chengdu - Please disembark at Chengdu Dong Station. Your driver in Chengdu will meet you at the exit and transfer you back to your hotel.
