Panda Tour and Leshan Giant Buddha

Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - At 7:30 am, the guide will meet the group at the hotel for a transfer to the Chengdu Panda Research and Breeding Facility. This center is dedicated to the conservation and protection of giant pandas. Visitors have the opportunity to learn about pandas, observe them in a semi-wild environment, and support panda conservation efforts. The early morning visit allows guests to see the pandas during their breakfast time.

Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo) - Following the panda visit, the tour will proceed to the Leshan Giant Buddha, a monumental statue near Leshan city in Sichuan Province, China. Carved into a cliff face, it is one of the largest stone Buddha statues globally and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Boat Tour Option: A popular way to experience the Leshan Giant Buddha is by taking a boat tour on the river. These tours provide unique views of the statue from the water and offer additional sightseeing opportunities.

Exploring the Site by Walk: Upon arrival at the Leshan Giant Buddha site, visitors will walk through a park area to reach the viewing platforms overlooking the statue. There are several viewpoints to admire the giant Buddha, including one at the base of the statue for a closer look at its intricate details.

Emei Mountain

Emeishan - Begin by taking the local sightseeing bus to Leidongping (approximately 1.5 hours), then hike for about 30 minutes to the cable car station for a ride up to the Golden Summit (over 3,078m high / 10,098 feet). At the Golden Summit, visitors will encounter a towering, multi-faced gold-plated bronze statue of Puxian Buddha, one of the tallest gold-plated Buddha statues in the world. Guests can visit the Huazang Temple and explore the area to enjoy panoramic views of Mount Emei and the distant snow-capped mountains. With some luck, visitors may also witness the breathtaking views of the cloud sea surrounding the mountain. After lunch at one of the hotel’s restaurants on the Golden Summit, the group will take the cable car and sightseeing bus back down to the mountain’s base. The tour concludes with a visit to Baoguo Temple, one of the main temples at Mount Emei.
