- Dujiangyan Irrigation System - Begin your journey with a pickup from your hotel in Chengdu and travel to Dujiangyan, located approximately 60km west of Chengdu. This ancient Chinese irrigation project, constructed around 2000 years ago, remains operational today. Situated in the central part of the Minjiang River, the largest tributary of the Yangtze River, the project effectively manages floodwaters.
Dujiangyan is the world’s oldest and only surviving no-dam irrigation system, showcasing a marvel in Chinese scientific development. The project comprises three key components: Yuzui, Feishayan, and Baopingkou, all ingeniously designed to automatically regulate river water flow from the mountains to the plains year-round.

Mount Qingcheng - After lunch, proceed to Mt. Qingcheng, a drive of about 30 minutes. A 10-minute shuttle bus ride will take you to the mountain’s base, followed by a 20-minute hike to Yuecheng Lake, located at the Front Mountain of Qingcheng.
From there, enjoy a brief cruise to the cable car station and ascend the mountain via cable car.
Explore the cultural relics and historic sites such as Jianfu Palace, Shangqing Palace, and Tianshi Cave. Afterwards, embark on a 30-minute climb to the renowned Laojun Pavilion, a highlight of any Mt. Qingcheng visit.
Then, descend by cable car, or if time permits, consider walking down, which typically takes 3 hours.
Upon leaving Laojun Pavilion, your private one-day Chengdu tour to Dujiangyan and Mt. Qingcheng concludes. Your guide will accompany you to the base of the hill, and then you will be escorted back to your hotel in downtown Chengdu.
