- University of Electronic Science and Technology of China Shahe Campus (Southeast Gate 1) - Chengdu Dumplings, commonly known as “Wonton,” are soft and tender dumplings floating in a light broth, filled with delicious ingredients. Chengdu dumplings are similar to Wontons, also stuffed with pork and vegetables, but the dough is thinner and they are served in a soup. Served in a spicy, sweet chili sauce with vinegar and garlic, Chengdu dumplings offer a distinct and rich flavor compared to Wontons.
- 建设南新路炒莱馆 - Chengdu Noodles, known as “Dan Dan” noodles, consist of a spicy sauce with preserved vegetables, chili oils, minced pork, minced peanuts, and scallions. “Dan Dan” refers to carrying bamboo baskets on the shoulders. The noodles got their name from vendors who used to carry and sell them in baskets along the alleys and streets in ancient times.
