• Dujiangyan Irrigation System - Guests will be picked up from their hotel at 8:00 am and driven to Dujiangyan, which is about an hour away. Dujiangyan is the world’s oldest and only remaining no-dam irrigation system. Built over 2,200 years ago under the guidance of Li Bing, a local official, and his son, it comprises three parts: Yuzi, Feishayan, and Baopingkou, which work in harmony to manage water flow. For centuries, this remarkable irrigation system has significantly contributed to flood prevention and agricultural development, earning the Chengdu Plain the nickname “the land of abundance.”
• Mount Qingcheng - After lunch, guests will be driven to Mount Qingcheng, approximately a 30-minute journey. Mount Qingcheng is renowned as one of China’s most famous Taoist centers, celebrated for its serene atmosphere. Visitors can choose to take a cable car or climb the stone staircases to discover charming temples and pavilions nestled within the forest. This afternoon, guests will enjoy the stunning mountain and water scenery while gaining a deeper understanding of Taoism.
