Wenshu Yuan Monastery - A food experience with Chinese class!
Your leader will meet you at your hotel lobby(City Center hotel, within the second ring road), we will go to a great local tea house to have some coffee or tea, and learn the commonly used Tourism Chinese. It doesn’t matter that you can’t speak Chinese at all. After an hour class, everyone will have the confidence to speak Chinese.
First of all, we practice introducing ourselves in Chinese. Then we will learn some Chinese greetings, such as “ 不好意思(excuse me)” “谢谢(thank you)”.Then we practice more about how to order food or how to take a taxi and more. After about 1 hour to 1.5 hours of Chinese class, we will go out and have a small Gourmet Tour!
You’ll be taken into an authentic local spice market to explore it with fun Chinese challenges to complete and learn different species of Sichuan spices and ingredients that will be used in the locals cooking.
At last, we will go to a great local dinner restaurant, you will have a real test here to order the food with all the Chinese you learned (You don’t need to pay, it is included)

The tour guide will convene with you at your accommodations (City Center hotel), from there you will head to a popular local tea house for a cup of tea or coffee, while also learning common Chinese phrases used in tourism. Don’t worry if you have no prior knowledge of Chinese. By the end of this session, you will be confident enough to speak Chinese basics.
We start by learning how to introduce ourselves in Chinese, followed by common Chinese greetings. We then progress to learning how to order food and ask for a taxi among other things. After studying for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, we shall head out for a little stroll!
Next, we will dive into exploring a traditional local spice market and take part in exciting Chinese challenges. This will familiarize you with various Sichuan spices and ingredients commonly used in local cuisine.
To wrap up the day, we will head to a gastronomically delightful local restaurant for dinner, where you’ll put your newly acquired language skills to the test while ordering food (don’t worry, the meal is covered in the package). This will undeniably be an exceptional and enjoyable experience for you!
