- Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - Meet your friendly English-speaking guide at your hotel lobby and you’ll head to the Chengdu Panda Breeding Center, a non-profit research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals. Spend your morning with the cutest, yet impressive, creatures in China! 3 hours inside the Panda Center, tour through the baby and adult panda areas. On a guided tour, visit different sections of the center to get a full overview of a panda’s development. Visit the baby garden, where you can see giant panda cubs born in summer, which weigh only about 3.5 ounces (100 grams) at birth and by the third month are able to walk on their own. Then stop at the sub-adult garden, where the adolescent pandas hang out, and see the adult garden, which houses the giant pandas in all their full-grown glory. Take pictures of this endangered species eating bamboo, sleeping or frolicking about. Finally, visit the red panda section to see these small adorable animals and try to spot the sleeping red pandas stretched out on branches in the red panda garden.

Fantastic tour - lots of active pandas - Early visit is best. Lots of stairs. Take your time and lots of photos. Our guide Perry is very knowledgeable, friendly and knew all the shortcuts!

Panda caretaker for a day! - Had a great day among the panda bears in Chengdu. Our guide was very friendly and had a lot of knowledge of the pandas. His English was also very good, so he could translate everything for us. We have done the volunteer program and as a real panda fan this is a must! You're literally preparing dinner. There is also plenty of time to look around the park. Had a great day, thanks to our guide Perry

Excellent experience - My wife and I enjoyed this tour very much, the tour guide Perry was very knowledgeable and helpful which made the experience even better. We saw all the amenities as described. It is a really good tour.

loved our experience!! - had such a great time with Perry! the whole experience was so easy. he picked us up from our hotel in the center of Chengdu and then just had to drive 30 min to get to the panda lab. Perry was able to point out fun facts about all the pandas, and get us good placements to take photos. overall would recommend touring with Perry!!

A Perfect Panda Experience Thanks to Perry - Perry was a fantastic guide for our panda tour in Chengdu. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly very familiar with the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. What we appreciated most was how he strategically guided us to the best viewing areas at the right times, which allowed us to see many pandas while they were active rather than sleeping. We were able to watch several pandas eating bamboo, climbing, and interacting thanks to his planning.
Throughout the tour, Perry shared interesting insights about panda conservation, their behavior, and the work being done at the research base. His explanations made the experience much more meaningful and engaging.
He was also very attentive and helpful, making sure our group avoided the biggest crowds, pointing out great photo spots, and answering all of our questions along the way. Overall, Perry made the visit smooth, fun, and memorable. We would highly recommend him to anyone visiting the Chengdu panda base.

A wonderful day with Pandas ! - Perry was a great guide. We had a great time touring with him. He knows short cuts and even helped us took pictures . If this is your first time in Chengdu - I would recommend this tour .

A wonderful day with pandas. - We had a fun day with Perry. He was punctual and articulate . He showed us short cuts to the park. We saw most of the highlights. He helped us take pictures! We are very appreciative of his efforts. Thanks Perry for a wonderful time with the Panda.

One of the highlights for our Asia trip! - Perry was prompt to pick us up at our hotel and was very easy going and knowledgeable on the topic of Pandas. He got us to feeding time early so we could get a good spot with clear pictures of the panda. We ended up getting a great view of all the pandas and we also got to see a baby panda go down a slide which was super cute and rare! Would recommend this tour for anyone wanting a stress free tour with a knowledgeable guide! Thanks Perry :D
