Highlights
- Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - Your tour starts at 8:00am, when your guide and driver pick you up at the lobby of your hotel. You will first visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda, as the pandas are very active in the morning. There you will see lovely furry giant pandas of all ages eating and playing with each other….
- Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - Your tour starts at 8:00am, when your guide and driver pick you up at the lobby of your hotel. You will first visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda, as the pandas are very active in the morning. There you will see lovely furry giant pandas of all ages eating and playing with each other. You will also have a chance to see the very cute baby pandas, as well as documents and pictures showing how these little pink mouse-size animals grow into giant white and black chubby pandas of over 220 lbs (100kg).
- Kuanzhai Alley - You will then proceed to Broad and Narrow Alleys. It is really fun to stroll along the ancient street lined with many old houses and some newly-built ones with a traditional style. You will have your lunch here (own expense), and you can ask for your guide’s advice on where to eat.
- Jinsha Site Museum - After lunch, your day trip continues with a visit to the famous Jinsha Site Museum. In the museum you will see many precious ivory, gold and jade products which are thousands of years old. Follow your guide and listen carefully to the interesting stories. You can also see many everyday products made of stone, pottery, bronze and ivory, from which you will learn the daily life of people of 3,000 years ago.
From there, you will be returned to your hotel where your tour concludes.

Must do tour in Chengdu - Pandas with Guide Charles - If you are in Chengdu everyone knows you have to see the pandas! However, not everyone knows the best way to see them. Our private tour with guide Charles was more than we could have dreamed of. Charles was very knowledgeable about the base and of course the pandas. He was able to take us on the best route for the maximum panda experience, avoiding the masses while getting us the good spots for viewing. He was super patient while we took millions of photos and even showed us some camera phone tips to get the best results. Charles was phenomenal. He was professional, smart, helpful, friendly and engaging. He also had an amazing sense of humor. We would highly recommend this tour with Charles - he, and the tour made our day!. He’s one of the best as was Mr Leo - our driver.

Pandas and Poets! - No visit to China is complete without seeing pandas, but this tour offers far more than that, including a visit to the famous People's Park with its matchmaking market and tea, as well as Du Fu's cottage, a serene monument to China's most celebrated poet. Anyone interested in Chinese literature and lifestyle will enjoy this trip, especially with the inclusion of fuzzy pandas! Tour guide Joy was spectacular and really brought the city to life.

Chengdu Private Tour - It was a great 4 days 3 nights private tour to Chengdu. I had a good time and i am very thankful for the excellent service and help from my guide (Joy) and driver (Mr. Xie) who had been assist me especially with my mom comfortability as she is on wheelchair. Love the cold and fresh air in Chengdu. My tour guide explain it very well to make the each places that we visited interesting and it very informative from culture, history and traditions. The trip to Giant Pandas Base well of course is unforgettable especially to see all the cute pandas. All the food are delicious. Most of all the places that i have visited are convenient if we come with elderly and wheelchair accessible. This is the second time i came to China with the same agency and the overall service is beyond my expectations from the planning with the agent (Emily) and the service provided from beginning of the tour until the end. Highly recommended.

Unforgettable Hospitality with Maggie in Chengdu - Maggie is an exceptional guide who always wears a smile. She provided us with a wealth of background information not only about the attractions we visited but also about Chinese culture and traditions. Maggie also encouraged us to try local delicacies and offered us excellent suggestions for places to visit at night. She continually checked that we were satisfied with every aspect of our stay in Chengdu. She went out of her way to accommodate our needs, made calls on our behalf, and ensured we didn’t miss anything. Trip to Chengdu Panda Research Base and memory lane - The trip to Chengdu was very memorable. This was the first time we see live pandas which were very adorable. We noticed that each panda had their own ideosynchracies. Some were active and playful while the oher just prederred to laze around. After the visit, our guide Charles brought us to visit one of the old community in Chengdu where we also had Chinese tea and snacks. The rustic environment reminded us that China has made tremendous progress to bring its people to the current modernity.

Amazing time in Chengdu - We had an amazing time touring Chengdu with our guide Julie Liu! Everything was so well organised and relaxed, which made the day effortless and fun.
The panda experience was an absolute highlight, and visiting her local Xiaojiahe community made the tour feel really special and personal. We also loved the calligraphy lesson and the little souvenir she gave us — such thoughtful touches that we’ll always remember.
Super friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Highly, highly recommend Julie Liu to anyone visiting Chengdu!

Great Chengdu Experience with an Amazing Guide - I had such an Amazing time in Chengdu. My guide Maggie made my experience organic and genuine. She made sure I enjoyed Chengdu and all it has to offer. She took me to see the cutes Pandas and all the must see local places so that I can experience the culture and every day life off people in Chengdu. I had so much fun touring around the city and will definitely come back to see more in the future. It takes a great Guide to make your travel experience meaningful, educational, and fun, Maggie definitely made sure my experience was great!
I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to travel to Chengdu.
