Chengdu - In the morning, the guide will meet the group at the Chengdu hotel at 8:00 am and then transfer to the Panda Base, which is a 30-minute drive, covering 15 km.

Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is situated in a vast forest area with stunning scenery. There are various enclosures based on the pandas’ ages (babies, teenagers, adults), allowing visitors to get close to these incredible animals. There are plenty of opportunities for fantastic photos as the pandas munch on bamboo, play together, or even climb to the treetops. They are most active in the morning until around 10:00 am. After that, some may take a nap. A visit of two to three hours is recommended to fully enjoy these adorable and cuddly pandas.

Kuanzhai Alley - Next, the tour proceeds to the Broad and Narrow Alleys, an ancient street lined with many old houses and some newly constructed in a traditional style. It’s delightful to stroll along the street, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere and discovering many interesting shops and nice restaurants. Lunch can be enjoyed here, with the guide available to offer recommendations. Whether seeking local specialties or a western-style meal, the guide will provide excellent suggestions.

Jinsha Site Museum - Following that, the group will be transferred to the Jinsha Site Museum. This extensive site museum combines history and archaeology, featuring five exhibition halls that showcase the culture of the ancient Shu Kingdom during the Shang and Zhou periods (17th century BC - 256 BC). Notable artifacts include the Golden Sun Bird, which is also the logo of the city of Chengdu, and the Golden Mask.

Chengdu - Leshan Giant Buddha - Chengdu. Tour concludes.

Chengdu - In the morning, the guide will meet the group at 9:00 am and transfer to the Leshan Giant Buddha, which requires a 2.5-hour drive, covering 145 km.

Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo) - The highlight of the day is visiting the 71-meter high Giant Buddha, the largest carving in the world. Constructed during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907 AD), it took three generations of carvers to complete from 713 to 803 AD. As the Buddha is carved into a cliff facing the riverbed, a boat ride will be arranged to provide the best view of this magnificent statue.

Chengdu - Finally, the guide will escort the group back to the hotel with a comfortable transfer, concluding the memorable day’s trip.
