• Imperial Summer Palace of Mountain Resort - The private tour guide and driver will greet the guests at the hotel lobby in the morning, and proceed to the first destination—the Imperial Summer Palace of Mountain Resort. Constructed between 1703 and 1792 during the Qing dynasty, this beautifully landscaped summer palace took nearly a century to complete. It served as a residence for Qing Dynasty emperors, eunuchs, courtiers, and concubines during Beijing’s hot summer months for many years.
• Potala Palace (Putuo Zongcheng Temple) - The tour then continues to the small Potala Palace, known as Putuo Zongcheng. This Buddhist temple complex from the Qing dynasty era was built between 1767 and 1771 during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1735–1796).
• Temple of Universal Peace (Puning si) - After enjoying a local lunch, the tour visits Puning Si in Chengde, also known as the Temple of Universal Peace. This eighteenth-century temple, built by the Qing emperor Qianlong, features an extraordinary wooden Buddha that stands over 20 meters high, with 42 arms and an eye on each palm. The tour concludes with a drop-off at the hotel.
